Shopping For Trainers

Hi girls!

So for my holiday I am looking for a comfy pair of trainers, because I will be doing a lot of walking about! I have always been quite particular about trainers and what they looked like and the colour etc, so I always choose them very carefully! However I have not actually bought a pair of trainers in 2 years!

So this is where I need some help! I have seen some really nice trainers, but I just can't choose which ones I want! I still need to go try them on, so when I do that I will have a better idea, but I want to know which ones you think I should go for! So I seem to be attracted to Nike and Adidas trainers at the moment. So here are my choices:

1 & 2. So my first to choices are the Nike Blazer Lo Vintage Suede in either blue or pink! I love the bright colour, but I am unsure, whether the bottom of the trainer is yellow or is it cream? They are £60.

3. My next choice of trainer would be these Adidas Gazelle shoes in purple. Now the only problem with these is I can't go into a shop to see them (I don't think) and I would have to order them online. I have heard a lot about the "gazelle" trainer and like the look of them. These ones are £65.

4. Next up are two hi top trainers, which I really like the look of. These Nike ones are called the Blazer Hi Suede and are £70 (eeep). I love the hot pink colour against the white tick! I have always loved the hi top look and would hope these will be the comfiest!!

5. So this is the last pair to choose from and they are Adidas Original Basket Profi Hi shoes and are £67. These are the first hi tops that caught my eye and are actually a corally pink colour and not red like they look in the picture.

If I was rich I would buy them all ok?! I'm not so I am just allowed to buy one pair! Hehe! So tell me what you think of hi top trainers? Do you like them?

Also I should probably be waiting and buying them in America when I get there, because they might be cheaper over there (any american ladies that can tell me what the prices are like for these kind of trainers over there would be much appreciated!). However I like to be organised and the thought of flying over there without something I need and then trying to find it just doesn't really sit well with me (unless of course they are much cheaper! Haha)!

So please let me know which ones you like best!!

A Big Boots Haul!

Hi girls! I hope you are all good. I have got a Boots haul for you today! I know we all love these ones!

I had a couple of things I needed to pick up.... Then went a bit overboard with things I wanted to pick up! Ooops! Haha Firstly I picked up some huge cotton pads! These are great because you can cleanse/remove make up using just one pad! You find them in the baby aisle and for the big pack I bought they were £2.19.

I then finally picked up a Tangle Teezer!! I have heard so so much about these and have been wanting to try it out! Since I am trying to grow my hair, I thought this would come in handy to stop breakages while brushing! I have used it quite a lot and so far so good! I obviously picked up the pink one, which is £10.99.

Next up, I picked up a new shampoo and conditioner. I have been using the Herbal Essences for a while now, but have not tried this specific type called Hello Hydration, which deals with dry hair and also increases the shine in your hair! I bought the smaller 200ml bottles, which will be good for taking on my upcoming holiday! These were both £2.29.

So I bought the Real Techniques Blush Brush, which I have had my eye on for ages!! I have really been needing a proper brush to apply my blusher and this obviously is the perfect one! I love the brand and will get so much use out of this! It's £9.99, which I think is a fab price for a  brush that is such high quality!!

Next up is one of Rimmel's new ranges Cocktail Colour. I first saw these on Fleur's Blog a little while ago. They really caught my eye, so I picked up the orange colour from the range, which is called Shirley Temple! Funny name right, and well it is a name of a cocktail and they usually are an orangey colour, so I guess it fits!! I love this orange though with its really fine gold glitter through out it. It comes out really evenly, so in one way it will look just orange and the next time you look at it it will just be proper gold sparkle! Its really pretty and lasts really well on my nails! These polishes are 3.99, however I got mine free, because Rimmel have 3 for 2 on all their make up! My other two Rimmel items are coming up... Any guesses what they are?! Hehe.

Next up I picked up this Collection 200 clear mascara, I thought I could use this either on my brows to set them or on my eye lashes on days where I don't want to were proper mascara, but still have my eye lashes defined. This was really cheap at just £1.99, so I thought I might as well try it out!

I then picked up a back up of my all time favourite mascara!! The Maybelline Volume Express One By One mascara, £8.49. If you have following my blog for a while then you will have noticed me using this a lot whenever I do a FOTD/FOTN. It is awesome and makes my lashes super big!!

Now obviously I had to buy at least one of these new lip products!! They have been absolutely everywhere!! Rimmel Apocalips retail at £5.99 and I picked up 2! I have heard so much about these and I will concur with everything I have heard about them! They are great! They feel lovely and light on the lips and not drying at all! So firstly I picked up Luna, which is a really pretty soft orangey coral and I also picked up Nova, which is a bright soft pink! Both lovely colors on the lips!

I then picked up an old favourite. I had run out of my concealer, obviously going to be the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, which is only £4.19 and is a great product!! I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it!

Lastly I picked up a Maybelline Colour Tattoo, which I have been meaning to pick up! I am really pleased with the colour I bought, Pink Gold. It is a gorgeous baby pink/gold with almost a silver shimmer through it too! Really pretty and very wearable too! These are usually £4.99, but I got mine half off, because of a Maybelline promotion!

And that was my haul!! Have you been buying any beauty bits recently? Or have you tried anything I bought, I would love to know what you thought of them!!

Love, Jen x

Two Awards!

Hi girls!

So two lovely ladies have nominated me for the Liebster Award! Kirsty from The Style Khaleesi and Abbie from Abstermac! Go and check out their blogs please girlies, because they are just fab and write great interesting posts! Thank you so very much for nominating me!

So the rules are:

1. Link the blogger than nominated you.
2. Answer the 11 questions the bloggers who nominated you asked.
3. List 11 facts about yourself
4. Chose 11 bloggers with less than 300 followers to nominate.
5. Let the bloggers know you nominated them!

I will do 5 questions from each of the girls, just so I'm not here forever! Here are my questions. First up is Kirsty's questions:

1. Are you a shoe or a bag girl?
Oooo ok so firstly I would definitely be a bag girl!!! Although I do love shoes too and I am quite particular about the heels I buy!
2. Would you rather have jelly tots for fingernails or long strings of marshmallows for hair?
Haha what a funny question!! It would obviously be the stringy marshmallows for hair!! Although I think I would become bald quite quickly!! Nom nom!
3. Who is the sexiest guy ever ever ever?
Hmmm, hard question! I do loveee Channing Tatum! Also Joeseph Gordon Levitt is sooo hot!
4. Batman, Superman or Spiderman?  I will judge you on this.
Hmmm, I think for me it would be Batman!! Mostly just because the Dark Knight movies are just epic! It would then be Spiderman and Superman. Am I cool Kirsty?! Haha!
5. Dogs or cats?  I'll judge you on this too.
Well as I have two cats and have had cats all my life it would be cats for sure!!! You know that when they are beside you wanting attention that they truly love you, as they are independent animals and think for themselves. Unlike dogs, who will just love any attention they get and want it constantly no matter who you are. Although I would love to get dogs in the future! I have a thing about dog breeds and know probably 90% of the breeds that are out there and if you asked me what breed of dog it is I would know!

And now for Abbie's questions!

1. What's your favourite memory of 2012?
I have so so many amazing memories of 2012!! It was one the best year of my life so far! Click here to see my best bits!!
2. What is you greatest passion in life?
I think at the moment it is probably this blog!! I just love typing up my thoughts and adventures and being able to here comments from all of you! It just means so much! I love the blogging community and its just great being a part of it!
3. What is your favourite item of clothing?
It would definitely be either skinny jeans (I wear them every day!) or my Ugg boots, which I have lived in since October!
4. What is your favourite cosmetic brand?
I would have to say Benefit cosmetics. I use a lot of their products and I love the packaging!!!
5. Where's the one place you want to go in the world most?
Ok for me this is an easy one! I would love to visit all 50 states of USA! You have probably all heard me talk about this before, but that is my answer!!!

I also was nominated a Versatile Blogger Award by lovely Lauren from Lauren's Beauty Department and for this award I have to tell you 7 random facts about myself. So I will leave the 11 facts about me from the Leibster award and just do the 7 random facts for this one!

  1. I used to want to be called Alice when I was a little girl (3-5) because I loved Alice in Wonderland so much!
  2. I love watching cooking shows, even though I probably wouldn't eat anything they made! I am a really fussy eater!!
  3. I haven't had my hair cut since June!! Growing my hair long again. I am getting it trimmed before I go on holiday!
  4. I am an Aries and live up to quite a lot of its personality traits: hot headed, good leadership skills, spontaneous and courageous.
  5. I love doing challenging mind puzzles.
  6.  When I was younger I loved collecting beanie babies and have over 70. I still have them all to this day, in a toy box in my room!
  7. I'm still hoping for a Hogwarts letter to be delivered. I think my owl must of got very lost! I'm sure it will get here one day!! Hehe
And that is me!! Now I will pass these awards onto 5 girls, whose blogs I love and then they can choose if they would like both or just one of the awards! Please go and visit their fab blogs!!

Friday's Letters #21

Hi girls!

I'm going to link up with Ashley today from The Sweet Season for my Friday's letters!

Dear Ashley, I love the new button! So pretty! Dear Erin Condren, thank you so much for creating the awesome Life Planner!! It is the best thing that I could have got to organise my life! I am so impressed with your customer service and your willingness in including your customers in the process to design next years Life Planner, which I will so be buying for 2014!! I will be doing a review to show you girls soon! It is awesome! Dear iPhone 5, so as my first iPhone, I was a bit late to the party, but boy am I glad I joined! Such a fab phone and people can actually hear me when I talk to them on it!! Haha! Still not quite up to date with everything, but am loving all of the games you can get! If you girls have any recommendations on apps and games to get I would much appreciate it! Although preferably free ones cause I have better things to be spending money on than them and once I buy one I will end up buying loads! Also not signed up to Instagram as yet, but will hopefully be doing so soon! So keep an eye out! Excited to get my Instagram on!! Dear Shops, ahhh why do you lure me in so easily! I bought some exciting bits form Boots along with essentials, which I went in for! Also I have a cheeky clothing Haul for you too! Don't feel so bad now that my spending ban in finished and as most of the clothes I bought are mainly for my holiday, it wasn't too much of a splurge! Dear Holiday, I really want you to be here already! I am so excited! We have got most things organised, but we still need to buy a few tickets and I want to buy a pair of comfy trainers for the tonnes of walking that we will be doing! Also does anyone know if we have to book tickets to go to Alcatraz in advance of going? Or can we just buy them when we get there? Its funny though because Robert is just desperate to get on the plane to go, and he says "I just want to be there already, but then I don't at the same time because then it will be nearly over!" Haha, so cute! Dear Readers, I am having a MAC give away at the moment!! So if you want a chance to win a MAC lipstick and eye shadow of your choice then click here!
