Debenhams & Superdrug Beauty Haul!

Hi girls!! Hope your all well. I have a haul for you, a lot of which are essentials, but some are quite exciting!!

So as you can see I needed to top up on a lot of things and a few items were on deals! I have really been loving the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner in the Hello Hydration range. I feel as though my hair has become a lot thicker and less dry feeling too! My hair has also stayed cleaner looking for longer! These are also on a 2 for £6 at the moment in Superdrug and these are the big sized bottles! Also on a deal was the Sure deodorant, which is 2 for £3 and obviously I can't go without that! I then picked up a big Batiste dry shampoo in my favourite scent Tropical!

I also needed to bet more cotton buds and kirby grips! I honestly just don't understand where these go. You buy a pack and then use them a few times and you can't find them again! I'm sure a lot of us have this problem! Hehe.

I then picked up a little treat for myself! A L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash (what a name!?!!) in the colour Romy. Its a really pretty pink, which looks almost as bright as a fuschia colour on the lips. It feels so light on the lips, although quite a strange consistency almost like a gel. It is a great stain too, stays put and is hard to remove completely with make up remover!!

I put an Instagram photo up yesterday (and also on Twitter) telling you that I had something new on my lips! Well it was this! Oh and my Instagram is @jenstar_blonde follow me! Hehe!

If you read my Birthday Haul, then you will know I got a Debenhams voucher from my friends, lucky me! I knew I wanted to try out a new foundation and I headed straight to MAC! After telling the girl about my dry skin, she colour matched me with the Mineralize Moisture Foundation. I can tell you all now that I am matched to NC20!! I have always heard everyone talking about what colour they are etc and now I have one too! Hehe.

I am so impressed with this foundation. It feels so lovely and soft on my skin and glides over any dry patches. Below you will see the foundation swatched and then blended out onto my skin. The NC range of colours are designed to minimise red patches and as I have a pink undertone this was the best choice for my skin. This is why it looks so yellow, as it allows the foundation to cover any red or pink, giving me a lovely complexion! Yay!

As I still had some money left on my gift card I headed over to Benefit (of course!). My first thought was to try out the new Fake Up Concealer! The lovely lady at the counter applied it and it looked awesome and not to mention it felt so gorgeous when applied! I obviously just had to have it! I only own two concealers so it was about time I tried a different one!

You will have probably all heard about this concealer already, but what is so great about it, is that it has an amazing hydrating ring around the concealer, which means application is so smooth and easy. This also allows the concealer to sit under the eye without any creasing, as the moisturising part of the product has sorted all the problems out!

Before she applied Fake Up, the lady moisturised  my eye area with Benefit's Its Potent eye cream. I am always quite wary of the creams that are applied to my face, as I have eczema and I'm always quite scared of making it any worse, but this cream felt so amazing on. It completely awakened my eye area and you could totally see the difference between what eye she had applied it to and which one she hadn't. I have heard about this cream before and so knew it was full of all natural goodness. So I bought it, mostly because I really want to start using an eye cream (as I don't at the moment) ad this one just felt so lovely on I couldn't resist it! At £24.50 it will hopefully be worth it, but the Benefit lady that was helping me also has really bad eczema but can use the cream and also the face moisturiser (which felt amazing on my hands by the way, they are still soft this morning! She gave me a sample of it to try!). If you are looking to try a higher end eye cream, Benefit is the place to go! I will be applying it morning and night and let you know how I get on!

So that was the end of my haul! What do you girls think of what I bought? Oh and apologies for the dark photos of the MAC foundation. My camera ran out of battery and I was meeting friends so the photos had to be taken when I came home! Oh wells, I guess these things can happen from time to time! Hehe!

Now I will just add that I wrote this post just to show all of my readers, I did not type this post to brag, although my collection is so small I don't know why anybody would think I would be able to brag about it!! Also all of this make up was either bought by me or given to me as a gift ie. from my parents or Robert! Hopefully you all liked this post and it gave you a good insight into the make up I have and what make up products I like to go for!! If you would like to see a certain item up close or you would like a review on it then let me know! Also if you click here then you might be able to find swatches of the products if I have bought them whilst I have been doing my blog, which is a lot of these items by the way!! Let me tell you one thing blogging is so not good for your bank balance!! Haha that is why I am on a spending ban!

Ok so let me know if you would like to see a review on anything that does not already have one! Also let me know if you have done one of these posts as I would love to have a read at it!!

L'Oreal Universal Lip Glow Review

Hey Girls!

So this is my first review and it is going to be on L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Universal Lip Glow! I bought this on my last Superdrug haul and was intrigued by the product at the counter. It's a product that I do not remember being advertised very well or at all even.

What L'Oreal says:

"Adapts uniquely to the moisture of your lips to forma bespoke, individual colour. The result: a tailor made shade of pink with a subtle finish."

So basically this lip "glow" will be probably a very slightly different colour of pink on different people. I can actually believe this as differing alkaline levels and also moisture as they say could change a product, obviously depending on its ingredients and it having that certain ingredient in order to make it change. I did do a test which included my hand and my boyfriends hand (hehe, I wasn't even going to ask if i could test it on his lips!). So I swatched it onto the backs of our hands and they both were different. His was a lighter pink than mine!

Now onto what its like on the lips:

When you first put it on its quite sheer and obviously the colour builds gradually. I understand why they call it a glow as well, because it just feels so light like you haven't got anything on and its very moisturising which is great for me! It was so soft and I loved the colour on my lips, which you can build easily. I think it also lasts very long as well, as It seems to be a lip tint too! For £8.49 I think Its worth it and I just know that I will be wearing it loads! L'Oreal do also say that you don't need a mirror while applying it as it suits your skin tone perfectly and I think it is really easy to apply and did not need a mirror! The stick is like transparent so its not just a full wash of colour, its brilliant! I love it!

So i applied it onto my bottom lip only to see the difference between the product and my natural lip. You can see that my bottom lip is a pretty pink colour and has a good sheen to it.

So this is what the colour is on  my lips! It could end up being a different colour on yours, but I really like it! Also, you shouldn't worry about what it will look like on your lips because the colour will definitely suit your skin tine! Yay!

Oh yea and about the one that I picked up! I was silly not to open it before I bought it, but then they always have a seal on them don't they? Well silly Jen never checked and when I got home it wasn't the perfect shape I was expecting. I gave it a wee rub in case anybody had touched or whether it had just ended up melting a tad due to the heat! It still works fine, but I can only imagine what my face must of looked like when I opened it up!! Haha

Tell me what you girlies think! Will you think about buying it?

Superdrug Make Up Haul!

I really need to stay out of Superdrug!

Ok so I bought some pretty make up and I also got a 3 for 2 on L'Oreal make up too! :)

I have been hearing a lot about the powers of this cheeky wee concealer and I tried it and thought it was brill!! At only £4.19 as well It's quite a bargain! Below is it swatched, without being blended in, I am the colour light 2.

Next thing I bought was a new blusher and this is my first Sleek purchase! I got the Rose Gold colour and it is soooooo pretty (and yes it does need that many o's!) Hehe, its a corally pink colour with gold through it and in one light it looks really gold and sparkly and in the other its very pink and corally! It was also only £4.29! Bargain!!
Ooo so pretty!!

Next up is the three L'Oreal purchases and this one is what I got free, it would have been £5.99! Its the Colour Appeal eye shadow in the shade Metal Plum, and its super pretty, its got silver through it with a lilac/purple tone through it.

Next up is a lip gloss I have been wanting since it came out! They are called Glam Shine Miss Candy and I picked up the colour Pink Treat. It was £7.65 and boy is it sparkly! this will be brilliant over a lip stick for a night out! The photograph below does not do this baby any justice at all!!

Ok so this product intrigued me very much, but I think I shall do a review on it at a later date! So keep and eye out for it and I will tell you about its magic trick! Hehe, this was £ 8.49.

Ahhh!! I can't go into Superdrug without buying one of these!! Another Revlon Lip Butter, but its just gorgeous! I have needed a good nude lippie for a while and this one does the trick. It is the well known colour of Creme Brulee and was only £5.99, as they were doing £2 off!!

Ok so thats me for my haul! Thank goodness, I really need to stop buying make up!! Thats it I'm on a ban from buying any more for a while at least!! Hehe

Thanks for reading! Do you like the look of any one of these products?

Love, Jen x
