Wedding OOTD

Hi girls!

Last week I went to a wedding, the first one of the year for me! It was Robert's cousin getting married and it was a lovely day! I thought I would show you girls what I wore! Robert's sister, Cheryl (who is a florist) had a little button hole, ready for me! It was so pretty! Also, my hair looks so long in this photo!!

Jacket - Coast
Dress - Coast
Necklace - Tiffany's
Watch - Fossil
Bracelet - Pandora
Ring - Accessorize
Bag - Accessorize
Heels - New Look

I wore the dress for another wedding two years ago, my cousins. It is a one shoulder dress and I love the light blue flowers on the print. It definitely fit me better this year, than last time I wore it! It was much more comfortable, where as last time, I felt as though it was too big!

The reception was in a gorgeous big house hotel and as the weather was just so gorgeous, we were all sitting out on a huge patio! Roberts mum had also packed loads of food to munch on before the dinner! The car looked like a fast food van, with a queue of people waiting for rolls, which were free of course! Haha!! Photographs were taken and then dinner was served. Sorry for the grainy photo below, it was the front facing camera on my phone! But hey you get a little view of the bride!

Robert and I have one other wedding this year in September, which is Robert's sisters!! Cheryl is having the hen night this month so I am looking forward to that, but I am still on the look out for a dress for the big day!! It is going to be a fab day!!

Formula One At Silverstone!

Hi girls!

So last weekend it was finally time for the Formula One at Silverstone! I had bought Robert tickets for his Christmas and he was so excited to go! I had got tickets for the Sunday only, which was race day. We left our hotel on Sunday morning really really early and were the only ones of the M6 Toll for a good 5 miles, which was quite spooky actually!

We arrived at Silverstone just after 7 and got a really good parking spot, which meant really easy getting out at the end of the day! We had to pick up our tickets from the ticket office (after a problem with the tickets being sent by post), but it was really easy to find. All we had to do then was take a walk back to the car, stick our parking ticket in the window and then get inside Silverstone!

The Formula One action didn't start until 12, so we had four and a half hours until then! There was actually loads of things to do inside Silverstone, with three races before the F1, loads food places and entertainment and not to mention adventuring around the track, We went on a Formula One 5D ride, which put you in the drivers seat of a F1 car as Jenson Button drove it around the track. It definitely woke us up, when we rode it just after 8am!!

There were stunt shows that went on during the day, and the bmx bikers tricks were pretty insane!

We of course took a walk around to the start/finish line, which is under the big Santander board, you can see behind me! It is obviously a very crowded area!!

Robert with a super sized map of the track and also as you can see it was absolutely amazing weather!!

Then 12 came and all of a sudden we had the Red Arrows doing a big display above our heads! It was phenomenal!! At some points the stunt planes were just 6ft away from the next plane, were only 100ft above the ground and going 850 miles per hour!! And of course there was the coloured smoke...!

Drawing love hearts in the sky!

Then it was time for the main event! We stood up in Copse corner and had a great view! The noise of the cars is amazing!! Turn your volume up if you dare!!

The speed the drivers go at is just insane, because the cars have a mind of their own. Honestly they must be completely fearless or be completely crazy! Although I would love a shot of one (hehe, in my dreams!)!

We had the most amazing warm sunny day and we both got slightly burnt.. Oops! They had pretty good food options too, although slightly expensive, but expected! It was amazing just to be there and feel the atmosphere and actually see these incredible cars in person! We both had a fantastic day!! Oh and also leaving the circuit was so easy and there were no hold ups at all, brilliantly executed!! Unlike the time we went to Nascar!!

Have you ever been to a Formula One race?

What Has Been Going On In Its a Blondes Life?!

Hi girls!!

It feels so lovely to be back on this blog! This is the longest time I have not posted! Way back in November, I didn't post for a week, but this time it was just a little bit longer! Anyway, here I am! And I am back with lots of good stuff for you!

Firstly, I would like to say a hello to all my new readers! Hello! So glad you have joined this little space of fun!

I have been a little AWOL on my blog recently, which really upsets me. You will have only noticed for the past week with my lack of posting, but also a couple of weeks before that, I just felt a bit down with my blog and in a bit of a blogging rut not wanting to type. I had plenty of things to type about, just not wanting to actually type it! However all is back to normal and I am feeling happy again being back on my blog!

On another note, my laptop decided to break! The screen somehow cracked and now it is away getting a new screen! I am missing it quite a lot! So now its going to be blogging on my lunch break and also trying to get a hold of Robert's laptop at night when needed! Hehe.

Ok so as for June, my Instagram was not very lively, but here are my snaps from the month!

A yummy fruit salad for lunch! - My little Flo - New bed sheets from Ikea, of course they have to contain pink! - At the Capital Summertime Ball! - Flo is oh so pretty!! - My little Alice and her bear face, just way to cute!!

A TGI Friday's dinner, we are so healthy!! - Have a drink with Robert! - My Alice, black and white - Driving to Silverstone, at half 5 in the morning. Roads were dead!!!

So I hop eall you girls are well! I will need to catch up on your blogs when I get a chance! Can't wait to see what you have all been up to! Oh and if you want to follow me on Instagram, then its @jenstar_blonde

Snap 29: A Stop Off At The Trafford Centre

Hi girls!

A very fun stop indeed. While travelling down to Silverstone! There will be a little haul (only bought 3 things), but some very exciting goodies to tell you about! I don't know why I have such a fascination with the Trafford Centre, I always think of it as being the Disneyland of shopping centres, so maybe it is something to do with that!

I hope you girls did something fun this weekend! I will tell you what I got up to today (Sunday) tomorrow!

Snap 27 & 28: Two Gloomy Days

Hi girls!

Where to start... The weather. In Glasgow the rain has not stopped, not once! Where has summer gone?!

Second of all a director of the restoration company I work for passed away very suddenly following a massive stroke on Wednesday. Something I haven't told you before about the company is that it is a family business, well including two families. One of them is my family and my dad is a director and sadly the other director Willie is now gone, he was turning 60 this year. It has been such a huge shock, for everyone right down to the apprentices and labourers we employ. Obviously at the moment all the pressure is resting on my dad, which also makes me even more worried and affected by what has happened. I am also quite close to Helen (Willie's wife) who does all the accounts for the company.

So it has been a couple of gloomy days at Its a Blondes Life, which is why I have been absent for the last couple of days! However this weekend will hopefully be good, as Robert and I are away to the Formula One at Silverstone! So that should cheer is up! Hope you girls have had a better day than me!
