Little Clothing Haul!!

Hi girls!

So if you read my recent Spending Ban Update then you will have read that I went a little tiny shop! Well a little has changed since then! you see I had bought a dress for me to wear to a party last night, but it was actually faulty. So I had to return the dress and I was really bummed about it because it was super pretty!! They didn't have any more in my size and I went to another New Look to try and get another one, but they didn't have any at all! So I had to get something else to wear!

Any ways I ended up picking up this lilac/sky blue shirt! It was £19.99 from H&M and I wasn't really sure how it would work for my night out, but thankfully it did!! You shall see my outfit in tomorrows post!

So last Sunday, when I originally went shopping and when I bought the dress, I bought two chunky knit cardigans. One of them when I tried it on at home, just didn't work for me so I returned it along with the dress. The other one I love!! It is a dark marl grey cardigan with a big collar and no buttons. It isn't too long, but for me a great length! It was £24.99 from New Look!

Finally, the last thing I got, was picked up when I returned my other items from New Look! I had not seen it when I had been in on the Sunday and was just so excited to see it because I love it!! I think I must of went on a good day because it must of just been brand new in! It is an aztec style cardigan, which is berry, cream and then pink when the two colours meet! It is just totally me! So pleased I got it and it is from one of the New Look Labels, Apricot for £32! Is it not just fab! I am sure I will be doing an outfit for you to show it off!!

I hope you liked my little haul! I am not set for autumn with my cosy cardigans it seems! Super happy with my purchases! So sorry spending ban these were a must for me! Teehee! Would you like any of these in your wardrobe?!

Friday's Letters #12

Hi girls! Friday again! Go on over and say hi to Ashley from Adventures Of Newlyweds!

Dear J K Rowling, thank you ever so much for releasing your new book!! I have only read the first 5 chapters, but so far it is extremely interesting!! Th Casual Vacancy I think will be an extremely good read! So far, it has been a tiny bit naughty and also quite deep on some levels. It does seem strange knowing that you have written it, but it has nothing to do with magic!! I can't wait to read more!!! Dear Shop, thank you so much for giving me some surprise weekends off soon!! I can't wait to actually have some proper weekends again and just relax!! Woop woop! Hopefully I will be able to do some more things like this:

Fun with Robert and our nephew Robbie on the beach! We had just been to a model train exhibition, as Robbie loves Thomas The Tank Engine! This was Robert drawing Robbie a train in the sand! So cute!! Dear Phone, I am really getting bored of your rubbish now!! I cannot believe I still have to have you until November before I can finally get an Iphone!! I have the most crap phone on the planet; the HTC Cha Cha! Do not buy this phone! People can no longer actually hear me when I speak to them on it! Rubbish! Dear Party Tonight, I am really excited to get my high heels on and have a good dance!! Yay! Although I bought a dress, that turned out to be faulty, so I returned it and now I have to find something else to wear quick stat!! Wish me luck in the shops! I am only going to buy one dress or one top, don't worry spending ban you are still safe!! Dear Mum, why oh why do you just want to rub me up the wrong way?! You always try and get a reaction out of me and hopefully most of the time you don't get one, but sometimes you do get one and you don't like it!! I don't know why, but when you are nearby, I can't be myself and I feel slightly stressed and quite anxious. I just can't seem to get along with you and I don't understand it a all! That is why I don't really tell you things! Dear Followers, wow I can't believe that I am over 120 followers!! Thank you all so much! I hope you enjoy reading my rambling!! Hehe!

My Favourite Blogs! Part 1

Hi girls!

So today I wanted to write about my favourite blogs! I love reading all your posts, but there are definitely certain blogs, which I really look forward too! So I have chosen to talk about my top ten blogs... today I will talk about 5 of them! So in alphabetical order just because that's fair!

1. A Prince and Prozac, which is written by The Management (no names here!). Can I just say this girl is so funny! She writes about her daily life and the random things that happen day to day, which just equals hilarious! It is probably really sad to admit this, but I will because I am letting you all know how great this blog is, so this will totally verify this, I have totally read through all her posts in a night... Yes this night in particular I was not feeling too well and I just thought I needed cheering up and I decided The Management would and she did!! So yea that day when you probably got a very large number of hits, but no comments, yup that was probably me, scrolling through them all! Thanks for making me feel lots better!! Some favourite posts would be thisthis and this! Hahaha, I find myself laughing out loud, very loud and I get funny looks from Robert when ever I am on this blog! Go take a look!

2. Fleur De Force, Fleur needs no introduction what so ever, because I don't know how you could not have heard of her! Have you been living under a rock?! She is a total star on Youtube, with three amazing channels! I love her blog for great beauty tips and her reviews are just straight to the point. You can really relate yourself to her as well, because she is just so down to earth and just seems to be such a good person! She is definitely a beauty blogger and not to mention beautiful too!! Fleur takes amazing photos too!

3. Lady Million! Katie has been a favourite of mine since I started blogging, we started out at the same time! This blog is a bit of everything; beautyfashion and lifestyle! She also knows a thing or two about blog design! She has written quite a lot of tutorials about it throughout her blog! Katie is fabulous and funny too!! You must, must, must go check her out! I always look forward to reading her posts, because they are all so well written! She is utterly gorgeous too, she even takes photos of her making silly faces and puts them on her blog and STILL she looks amazing!! So unfair!

4. Living In Yellow, ok so prepare yourself for this one! Erin is a bit of a crazy one, but is completely awesome, as the post in the photo below eventually lets you know! Hehe! She is totally hilarious and as soon as I see that she has posted something new, which is usually everyday (woohoo!!), I click that link faster than you can say... well "woohoo!". Usually whenever I leave her blog I leave with a smile on my face! I have a lot of love for this girl!! Her posts are usually lifestyle related, but she is extremely fashionable so you will see tonnes of pretty clothes on this girl, that you really must have, but sadly I cannot, because one she lives in the USA and two because I am on a spending ban! Style just seems so easy when your Erin!!! So jealous! Hehe, any way please click herehere and then definitely here! That last one was her link up last week, which was AWESOME!! Erin will definitely be the next person I will turn to when I am having a rubbish day and blog stalk her! I can't wait! Click those links!! Click them!

5. My Cliffnotes is written by Tabitha, who wins for the best name!!! Her blog is basically all about her what she gets up to! Her posts always make you feel like she's telling her friends what's been happening and you always feel included! Its fab!! She is almost always makes me  smile and laugh! Please make your way to her blog; either herehere or here! Your most welcome! She also always amuses me by the mysterious titles of her posts! I always want to click on them to find out what on earth they mean!! There has been a lot of "always" in this paragraph!! Haha, but hopefully that shows just how great this blog is to always be so awesome to read!

Ok so you will not be disappointed by those blogs at all! AT ALL! I just had to get that across, oh ok I will make it even more simple:

They are all amazing!

Ok?! Hehe! I honestly do not know what I did without reading amazing blogs like these! Let me know if you love them just as much as me! Watch out for the other of my 5 favourite blogs! That post should be up next week!

Spending Ban Update #2

Hi girls! So we have come around to the second update of my spending ban! I cannot believe I have been on it for two months!

This month has had good moments and bad moments! Good moments being not buying anything!! Bad moments being buying naughty things, that I maybe should not have! First of all if you want to catch up on how I have been doing and what this spending ban is for, check out here and here

So I guess I have had 4 naughty purchases! The first of these purchases, I guess was very much needed and that was my Muji storage, which you can find a post about it here! I am really glad I bought this though, as it has helped me get my room organised better! It looks great with all my make up inside it too!!! Check that out here! One of my very naughty purchases was Debenhams online! I was so very bad and bought three things, one of which was needed, but the other two were just indulgences!! I was so set on just buying the one item I needed, but then saw that you got free delivery when you spent over £30! So instead of paying just an extra £3 for packaging, I fell for the offer and spent another £18 instead!! Hmmm... I have no idea where my logic went in that moment!! However I did buy my first MAC purchase, which was a big deal to me! So I guess that was ok! Sort of.... The only other bad thing I bought was my Benefit Go Tropicoral Kit, which I knew I was going to have to buy as soon as it came out, basically as soon as I saw that it was being released, which was in June I think! So basically that was the one thing I had in my mind that Iw as allowed to buy during my ban!

The one purchase, which I have not told you about yet, but is a small clothing haul! Eeep bad Jen! I caved into New Look! I will be doing a post hopefully tomorrow on it so keep your eyes peeled! It was weird though, because I haven't actually ventured into a shop for I would say moths where I was going to buy clothes. So when I was in there it felt so strange, as if my whole mindset had changed. I felt so guilty about picking an item up and keeping it in my hand. At one point I almost psyched myself out, prepared to just leave my three items on a random stand and just run out the shop!! It was quite traumatic in a way! This is completely different to how I used to feel when shopping for clothes, because I used to love just picking up everything I liked and then just buying it! I guess the spending ban has really hit home hard and is always in my mind! I think that it is a good thing, as I did have to force myself to go to the till, maybe this is a good thing, but then maybe I should have just walked away! I'm not sure! One of the items was one thing I definitely needed and was looking for and the other two are to wear now that the weather has gotten a lot colder already! Look out for the post! Also as I had been in New Look two Fridays ago to get something to wear to Roberts Nana's funeral it felt like a completely different shop than the one I was in on Sunday. As before I had been looking for a set thing, which was a black dress and cardigan (which in itself is something so abnormal for me as I NEVER wear black), I knew what I was there for and I now realise that when you walk in with maybe something not so specific in mind this can be the problem!

I also had to buy some uniform for working at the shop. That is allowed in my rules, as I have to wear the clothes they sell, but I did also buy some scarves and other bits and bobs, that I wouldn't necessarily wear to work, but as I get 70% of them then I didn't think I was being too bad!

I mean when I think that if I had not bought all those things above that I would have saved probably £250 then I guess that kind of hurts, but I think also to get you through a spending ban and especially a six month one, then you do need to keep a realistic head and not just think you will not buy anything! Because as I have found out you probably will need to buy something!  I do think that next month though I will really limit myself and not let myself wander into shops, with the idea in my head that I can buy something, which happened on Sunday! Also, I think again the area I am really failing in is buying food, as we go out so so much for dinner or get take aways! We really need to get a good system in where we can actually cook! Keeping my fingers crossed! I could really save a tonne of money if we are able to do this!

This month coming up will be good I hope! I have got to pay off the rest of our holiday! Hopefully I will have that in my account! Eeeep! After that it will basically be starting to save again from scratch!! Although then I do have plenty of time to save up lots of money for the big holiday in February!!

Are you on a spending ban? How are you finding it?

Sunday Social!

Hi girlies! I am going to do a quick post today and link up with Ashley from Ashley's Carnival Ride and Neely from A Complete Waste Of Make Up!

This weeks questions are:

1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of? It would probably be to get a tattoo, although I don't even know if I can get one due to my eczema and constant scratching! I'm not very good with pain at all! I'm even too scared to get my ears pierced again after letting the close up! Hehe!

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years, I would hope to be living with Robert and hopefully be married!! Eeek! With a good career, which I love and maybe babies in the horizon?!

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012? Hmmm, I'm not sure actually, because the main thing I'm excited about is my big holiday in February 2013. So before that it would probably be hopefully getting to the Harry Potter studios finally!! Also seeing the last instalment of the Twiliight Saga in November (!!!) and then getting to read J K Rowlings new book, out on the 27th!!

4. What are your hopes for your blog? I would love my blog to continue to grow and for me to make some good friends through blogging! I just want people to enjoy reading my posts!!

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city? Hmmm that is a hard one, because I think to be honest it will be the only place I live, because Glasgow is a brilliant city. I would love to live in America though, but I guess that is more of a dream!

6. What is your morning routine? My weekday morning routine is to get up at 8am, get ready for work, out the door quick and jumping in the car to drive to work! I usually get my breakfast at the office.

Really enjoyed answering these questions" Will definitely keep and eye out for good questions in the weeks to come!

A Friday's Letters Request!

Hi girls!

So as usual on Fridays, I am doing my letters, which is hosted by the amazing Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds! Although today's will be slightly different! Today's letters is more of a request if you like, a request asking for pen pals or email pals!

Dear Prospective Pen/Email Pals, hello! My name is Jen and I am looking to make new friendships! I am 22 and I live in Glasgow, Scotland and would love to find people who live all over the world to talk to! I would especially love to find people in America, as I love it there and everything about the USA fascinates me! Although even if you live in the UK too and you are looking to make a new friend then let me know! I don't mind! I love animals, travelling and everything girly! I would love to talk to you about blogging (if you have a blog, if not it doesn't matter!), about your life, about your dreams, anything really! I would love it if just one person got back to me, but the more the merrier! Maybe you are like me and are looking to find someone completely out of the way to talk to about your life too I am the same! It would completely make my whole month, heck probably year, if someone felt like they wanted to have a chat with me! It could be through email or we could even write proper letters to each other!! How fab would that be to receive proper letters through the post again?! Or we could do it both ways! I honestly don't mind! If this sounds like it may be of interest to you, and I hope it does (!!), then please either leave me a comment below or send me an email to jenstar.blonde@gmail.com! Please don't hesitate about emailing me, because I would love to hear from you!!!

Hump Day Wish List!

Hi girls!

So I am in definite need for a wish list today! I would love to go shopping for some new clothes, but I am not going to so this is the next best thing!!

From Topshop, I chose a cute tshirt, that amazing nail polish from the Louise Gray Collection and I just want another lipstick, but as yet I am not decided on a colour! I think maybe Whimsical?!

From New Look, I chose an amazing Batman inspired jumper (!!), a cosy cardigan, ready for autumn and a cute swallow print tshirt!

From River Island, I chose two tshirts, because I love the tshirts form there, a cute pair of bright blue jeggings, an awesome USA inspired jumper, a cute stripy vest  and a blue striped jumper!

Ok and from Fossil, they have brought out these amazing bangles, which come in rose gold, gold and silver. I chose three amazing silver ones to match my watch! I think they would all look so good together on my wrist! Just wish they were not so expensive!!

That is my wish list for today! Is there anything that you would love to have? Or have already?!

Also on a completely unrelated wish list note, can I just say that at last, more chapters on Pottermore have been released!!!! Yay!! I think we have been waiting about four months maybe?! I can't wait to have a proper look at them! Very excited!

The Fact is...

Hi girlies! I am linking up with the lovely Nicholl from The Chiffon Diary for....

I have not done this link up before so here are my facts!

Fact: I love all fruits and hate all vegetables except for potato, but is that even counted as a vegetable anymore?!
Fact: Tomatoes are a fruit?!
Fact: Ok ok, I hate tomatoes, like HATE! Although I do love tomato sauce or ketchup for all you Americans!

Fact: I have Eczema, which sucks, and have had it now for over 4 years!
Fact: One of my cats, Flo, had Eczema on a patch of her neck (see below image). So I took her to the vets, two injections later.. that was her cured!! A week later she was all healed up and her fur was growing back!!!!

Fact: How unfair?!?!?! I felt like asking the vet to give me those injections!!!
Fact: Why is it so hard to cure my Eczema?! Honestly doctors are rubbish!!

Fact: You can turn that word into two words fat cat! Teehee, which totally reminds me of the two podgy kittens that Alice and Flo used to be! Get ready to say awww!

Fact: Those little kittens were the cutest! How I wished they stayed that size!!!

Fact: I have no idea what I am supposed to do with my life! I don't know what I would like to do as a proper job. All I know is that I don't want a job to do with the degree I have just worked three years for! Funny isn't it?!
Fact: I know that I will eventually work out what I want to do in time! Don't worry Robert I will get there!

Fact: I really love this link up!! Well done to Nicholl for coming up with this brilliant idea!
Fact: I know you all want to take part, so click the link and join in!
Fact: I will definitely be joining in next week too!

Fact: For every fact I have typed on this post I have had to change it from Fcat, because I kept thinking of fat cat while typing!!! Hence why you have got a really random fact up there talking about fat cats! Haha, so basically my whole post should look like this:

Fcat Fact:!!!!

Oh the world of Jen is random it is true! Join in so I can see your random facts!

Do You Believe In Spirits?

Hi girls! I hope you all had a good weekend!

My weekend was kind of a mixed bag, as it was Robert's Nana's funeral on Saturday, which was obviously a sad occasion. She had been ill though so I guess everyone was prepared for it. She died a week ago today and the weirdest thing happened to Robert, which is why I am asking a question in the title.

Robert has got a brand new phone, only a couple of weeks old and he has got used to how to work it and what not. All was good with his phone. Until Monday morning, Robert had set his alarm on his phone for 6.30am as usual, but when it went off he put it on snooze for a while, as everybody does!! His alarm suddenly went off at 6.47am, so he tried to switch it off, no luck, the alarm kept on going, after trying to swipe the screen (it's a touch screen phone), he then ended up trying to switch the whole phone off and that still took a minute with the alarm still ringing all the way until the screen went black. Now obviously we were both thinking what on earth was up with it!! Any way we just went back for a little snooze and then Robert got up for work. Robert then phoned me about an hour later saying that his Nana had died.... and her death certificate said 6.47am. I think I was a little shocked to say the least, I mean no way could that be a coincidence!! I think his Nana must of been thinking of Robert as she died and then her spirit has passed through his phone to let him know that. What do you girls think? It is quite creepy right?

I do think that things like this happen all the time and people just don't realise it or realise that it actually means something. Like when I went onto work on Saturday after the funeral (yes I know I probably should not have been at work, but I didn't want to ask for the day off!) and on the shop floor, were these big pink glass diamond shaped paperweights, that I know Nana would have had bought one of them if she had seen it! She had so many of them all around her living room. It was really weird to see them in the shop I work in, as we have never sold paperweights like it before! I mean what are the chances that they just happen to be in the shop the day of Nana's funeral?! Oh and by the way I bought one of them and we are going to put it at her grave, just because!

Also, Robert's mum was at the hospital when Nana died and his mum could hear a banging, when she asked the nurses what it was they said they could not hear anything and then a couple of minutes later Nana died. Its weird I think that a spirit can touch us in such a way, but I completely think that it happens to many people, when they lose someone and even when they have been gone for a while they still can remind you. Such as when the clock in my room, just stopped randomly. I never realised it had stopped, but I am so sure it stopped on the 5th of February, which was exactly a year after my precious cat died. I was at work when she died and I think it was her trying to let me know what time it had happened. If you want to know what happened to my precious Jess then click here! The time on the clock, would actually correspond to what time my dad got home and then him getting to the vets with Jess. It would probably work out exactly at 5.09!

Little Jess xxx

So has anything like this ever happened to you? I totally believe in the saying of "everything happens for a reason", because I think this kind of thing happens a lot, but people just don't ask  the question of why is my phone acting weird or why has my clock stopped. I know a lot of this kind of thing has happened to me, but I have just forgotten about it. Last Monday before any of this happened with Robert's Nana, Robert's mum had phoned his dad asking him to come and pick her up , because she had felt she had been in the hospital for too long. When he got there instead of going straight along the corridor to the lifts, he walked away down the wrong corridor (which was where Nana had been the last time she was in hospital). He then realised and walked back and went up the lift. When he got to the ward, Nana had just died. Now if he had went the correct way to the ward, Nana would have been on her own when she died, as Robert's mum and dad would have been walking out of the hospital by that time. It is just so obvious that this happened so that Nana would not have been on her own and she would still have her daughter beside her!

It is just so strange, isn't it?! Although I really like that feeling of there is some greater power of spirits making things like his happen. Just so you know, I do not believe in God, so I do not think that this is happening because of that. I believe that when your loved ones leave you they look after you. I totally believe that Jess is looking after me, like my guardian angel.

What do you girls think? Have you ever had any strange things happen to you and then you have realised exactly why it has happened?! Do you believe in spirits? I would love to hear your stories!

Oh and also in the photo above I have some brushes mostly from the Body Shop, Benefit tweezers, a pencil sharpener and eye lash curlers! Now I will just add that I wrote this post just to show all of my readers, I did not type this post to brag, although my collection is so small I don't know why anybody would think I would be able to brag about it!! Also all of this make up was either bought by me or given to me as a gift ie. from my parents or Robert! Hopefully you all liked this post and it gave you a good insight into the make up I have and what make up products I like to go for!! If you would like to see a certain item up close or you would like a review on it then let me know! Also if you click here then you might be able to find swatches of the products if I have bought them whilst I have been doing my blog, which is a lot of these items by the way!! Let me tell you one thing blogging is so not good for your bank balance!! Haha that is why I am on a spending ban!

Ok so let me know if you would like to see a review on anything that does not already have one! Also let me know if you have done one of these posts as I would love to have a read at it!!

Love, Jen x
