Happy Halloween!!

Hi girls!!!

So I have a couple of things to share today! First up, its Halloween!! I have been quite excited about this Halloween, as I have been part of this amazing community, where we are all talking about past costumes, recipes and different ideas! It has been fab to read it all! Also a little note from my little black cat!

Hehe!! I love the Halloween bits on Picmonkey! So I will also show you my Pirate costume, I wore on Saturday night! Teehee! I really wish I had got a hat, but I never had time to get one! Also can I just add, the photos below are in order of when they were taken. So the first one is when we first arrived, with my sword in my belt and hair still looking all nice.... following through to my friend giving me a garter to keep my sword in, being all hot from the heat in the club and my hair looking not its best!! Haha, oh how I love Halloween!

Teehee thanks again Picmonkey!!

Ok so now onto something I did on Sunday with Robert.... We went to see Skyfall!!!!!! Oh my god it is the most amazing Bond film yet, let me tell you!! The storyline, the action, the characters are all amazing! The baddie in this film is also played extremely well, he is just a little insane (ok a lot!) and he can be quite funny at the start! I love how you actually learn something about who James Bond is and his background in this film and obviously I love that parts of it take place in my good old Scotland!! The only thing that kind of bugged me was the start of the movie that took place in Istanbul. Now Robert and I only went to see Taken 2 a couple of weeks back, which took place in the same place and parts of the chases took place on the same roofs!! Taken 2 was lucky that it came out first or else it would just be seen as a copy of Bond! Although this was only a very small part of Skyfall, so I will forgive you James Bond for going on that silly mission and almost killing yourself!! Ooops forget I said that! Teehee!

Honestly even if you don't like action films, you have just got to see this! This film has completely reinvented James Bond as a franchise and brought back the good things about Bond that have been missing in more recent Bond movies. The best movie of the year let me tell you and even of the Bond franchise! Robert even wants to go and see it again! Something that he never ever says, so that must really prove something! Hehe, so just go and see it ok?!?! You will thank me!

So I hope everyone who is going out tonight or having a party has a fab time! I would love to know what you are dressing up as! It's sad though because where I stay there are never any little kids going around the houses, which is just rubbish!! Oh and I also hope that weather is good for them, not like now, as it is absolutely pouring down with rain! Eeek! I think tonight I shall watch some Halloween movies! Anyone got any suggestions?1 I want to watch Hocus Pocus! Not sure if Robert will though! Hehe!!

Spending Ban Update #3

Hi girls! It is that time again! Another month has gone by!

Why am I doing this ban you ask? Well check here and then also here for my first update and lastly here for my second!!

Well this month I was very good, up to a point. This month I put all my savings towards paying off the holiday and there still is a large bit to be paid off still, so I have up until December to get that paid. However I kind of lost my way a little, after taking too much out of my account, it left me with too little to pay my car off and insurance. I have now scraped it back, but it was quite a scary moment for me.

I also sorted out internet banking so that I know exactly how much is in my account any time I want, which will really help me. I should have got this sorted ages ago, so I really really recommend doing this as it lets you access your account and you can find out what comes out of it and when, letting you see exactly where your money is going. I feel silly not to have done this before, but now that I have it, I think it is great! Especially on a spending ban, you can see exactly how much you have saved!!

I feel like now I am sort of just starting again with my savings, but I'm ok with that because paying off the holiday is why I was saving and still is and obviously to be able to take lots of money with me!

I have had two naughty moments this month and one was the Boots Haul, which was straight after I paid off most of the holiday, as I felt like I deserved a little treat! The other was buying myself a new bag, which I guess was a little naughty and for a while after I got it was thought of by me as a bad omen, for me not having any money! But that is over now and it really is a fab bag!!!

I was really proud of myself saving that large amount for my holiday and it felt great knowing that I could save it all up, makes me want to save a lot more!! I think the feeling of having saved up so much definitely out weighs not being able to buy what you want, when you don't really need it! If you are thinking of going on a spending ban for what ever reason, then I do really recommend it, because you feel really proud of yourself and thats a really good thing!! I still have three months to go, which seems like a long time, but I know that saving up ll my money to use when we are away in California will be amazing!! The only thing I still need to get under wraps is Robert and I's eating out obsession! It is really hard for us though as we do not have a kitchen of our own yet, but hopefully until we get our own, we can use the kitchen more in our parents houses to keep down the costs of eating out!! Wish me luck on the next half of my spending ban!! Hehe!

Are any of you girls on a spending ban? How are you getting on?

My New Marc B!

Hi girls!! I feel as if I haven't blogged in ages, but my last post was only three days ago!! Hehe

Well this post is one that I think many of you will like! If  you are a bag lady like me then you will love this post!! Now I have not bought a new bag for a long long time!! Haha and this to me is very strange as I love buying new bags! So I have been in desperate need (well more want) of a new bag! My usual place for a bag would be Paul's Boutique, as the quality I find is really high, but not for a huge amount of money. However, when I was tidying up my room, I was reminded of another bag brand, which I love and that I know makes very good bags, as I have one already!

Marc B sells amazing handbags and the previous one I bought was when they had a space in my local Topshop to sell them. I decided to take the plunge and buy one off the internet when I fell in love with one of them! The Juliet bag!

I absolutely love it!! I wasn't sure what the actual colour would be like. On the website it is described as Maroon, which obviously at the moment is a colour that is really in! I was kind of hoping it would be more pinky than it is, but I am happy with it! It is a bag that will always be in at this time of year, but I know I will use it all the way through winter too! This bag cost £49 and with postage and packaging cost me £51.25, which I think is good. I ordered it on a Sunday night and it go here on the Wednesday! One of the reasons that I loved this bag was hen different compartments. I always hate bags that just have one huge space for all your things to get jumbled up with. So for me a bag with different spaces is a must and means it doesn't take me ages to find what I'm looking for!

Its a great bag! With two large zipped compartments for all my things, then a secret zip compartment at the back of the bag and then the front has a large pocket two. It also has a detachable shoulder strap which is really comfy to wear! It came packed really well and I love the gold hardware on it, especially the gold Marc B heart keyring!! It has the most amazing leopard print lining inside, which makes it even easier to find your things! This bag just exudes high quality and if you are looking for bags that are reasonable priced, but that come with high quality and that will always be in fashion, this this brand is a must see!! I also got a fab little 20% off voucher for my next purchase! Although that will not be happening for a long long time for my spending ban has been annoyed at me for this purchase already!! Hehe.

The other bag I have that I bought from Topshop last year is the grey Knightsbridge bag, which still looks brand new and can still be bought online (see I told you, they don't go out of fashion!), so I know that my new one will be a fab addition to my little collection of bags! Hehe

Have you got a Marc B bag? What do you think of the brand? Let me know!

The Think Pink Tag!

Hi girls! October is Cancer Awareness month, if you didn't know already!!  I was just tagged by Jen from All Things Bright and Beautiful
Ok so here are the rules of the tag:

1) Pick out your favorite pink food, make up item, fashion and random item.
2) Spread the message about breast cancer to a female friend/family in your life - the awareness, the symptoms, the checks, the healthy foods that helps prevent the disease... anything or everything!
3) Write a blog post about 1 & 2, linking back to this post (and/or grab the cute button above!)!
4) Tag 3 of your blogger girlfriends to do the same!

Ok so here are my four favourite pink items!

Pink Food - Cupcakes!!
weheartit.com

Pink Make Up - Benefit Posie Tint!

Pink Clothing - my River Island bright pink Jeans

Pink Random Item - Pink Gerbera Daisies
weheartit.com

Next up is to raise awareness and I will just add this... If you feel like your breasts have changed in any way, whether it be different shape, a lump or your nipples changing in any way please go and see your doctor. If they have any worries they will send you to a breast clinic, so please don't be embarrassed by thinking that what your seeing or feeling is not important enough to see a doctor.

I found a lump down form my arm pit just at the top of my breast years ago, when I was 17/18. I wasn't sure if because I was so young I would be at risk. I was obviously a little worried. I went to see my doctor any way and he sent me to a breast clinic, where I had an ultra sound and a biopsy. The ultrasound was fine, the biopsy on the other hand was not so nice. They perform a biopsy on you when they are unsure of the lump just by doing the ultrasound. A biopsy is when they have to take a little bit of the lump out. Now in my case they basically put a big needle into the lump and tried to drain a little bit away. It was not nice at all let me tell you. It was quite sore and not something that I would like to have done again! Thankfully it turned out just to be something they call a "breast mouse", (hehe!) which is basically just a little cyst.

Around a year ago I had to go back to my doctor as the cyst had grown in size and also I had found a quite a big strange shaped lump within my other breast. Now before I go on let me tell you I have very small breasts, so it is really easy for me to feel and actually see any lumps! So I went back to the breast clinic and had another ultrasound done. The doctor thought that the lump within my breast was really strange and it turns out that I have a couple of cysts in there that are all joined together! Lovely.... Also the other lump was still benign. So thankfully I didn't have to have another biopsy done and again I am fine!

I just wanted to let you know my story and that if you do find a lump it is important that you should definitely have it checked!!! Also please do not freak out if you do find one, I remained calm all throughout both of those processes and tried not to think bad thoughts.

Every 3 in 100 women will go to the doctors with a problem about their breasts.

9 out of 10 lumps found are benign and are not cancerous.

The more awareness there is, about checking yourself and making sure everything is normal, the better!!

This was a great tag created by Blush and Brunch , click on that link to see the tag that she created!! So a very big well done to that great blog!!

So now I get to tag 3 people to take part!

Georgia from Georgiabeee

Obviously I also tag all of you as well!! Let me know if you have done this post! Lets all raise as much awareness as we can girlies!!!

It's OK...

Hi girls! I hope you are all well! I have a new link up for me today! If anybody reads the UK Glamour magazine, then every month they have a page of It's OK, and I always read them! So here are mine for today!

It's OK...

To kind of be dreading going back to working at the shop after two weekends off!! Mind you I am still working 5 days during the week in the office, having my weekends back was weird, but very good! I am working at the shop tonight and I'm like noooo!! Oh well!

To some days just not want to write a post. I have been having more days with no posts recently and it is mostly down to a little lack of inspiration. I feel like you shouldn't force yourself to write a post, as then you will end up not loving blogging like you should. I have quite a few posts lined up so keep your eyes peeled!

To think of my lovely little cats as my babies and just chat away to them constantly when I am with them! Its because I remember them looking like this!

To have still not posted my part 2 post about my favourite bloggers (see part 1 here!). I have not forgotten and still have 5 of my favourite blogs to name, it will be up soon!

To have bought a new bag... Eeeep spending ban I am very sorry!! I will have a post up soon about it, it is super pretty!! My excuse is that I have been using the same bag now for well over 5 months and I really really needed a new one! Ok maybe not need, more like want! Ok I wanted one!

That I am super excited about my trip to California, even though I have to wait over four months still, until February, until I actually get to go!

To keep pressing your alarm snooze button in the morning! Its now really cold when I get out my bed in the morning, which I hate, so I just want to stay in my bed!

To just want to spend all my time with Robert. He makes me so happy! It feels so satisfying when I am with him! Awww!

Remember to link up with Nelly from A Complete Waste Of Make Up!

My Weekend #2

Hi girls! Hope you all had a great weekend! So that was another weekend off from the shop and I had a great two little days!! Most of it was spent relaxing, as you do when you have some days off!

On Saturday after a lazy morning I met Robert over at his house, as he had left mine earlier that morning to go pick things up for one of his jobs. Our nephew Robbie was there so while I waited for Robert to get back I got to play with him! He is so funny and asked why I was there and started to route through my bag looking at what was inside, before his Nana told him that you don't do things like that! He is so talkative and wanted to know where Robert was. He had just got a new hat and when he tried it on he claimed that he was just like Uncle Robert, because Robert always wears hats! It was quite funny! Robbie also looks very like Robert too, so it was true!

When Robert and I left, we went on a drive into town and as we hadn't had anything o eat we were so hungry!! I suggested that we go to the American diner type place that we had heard about and I had also read an article about in a magazine. However we could not remember the name or where it actually was!!! Que Robert driving around Glasgow searching for it! We were just about to give up in the West end of Glasgow, when we saw it!!

No we have not suddenly been transported to New York!! Although it felt like we were back there and yes the yellow taxi and cop car do live outside the cafe! So cool!!

This cafe is just utterly AMAZING!! I cannot rate it highly enough! Robert and I were so hungry when we sat down, but after we had eaten about a third of our plates we were full!! Hehe! We ordered the most amazing milkshakes!! I got the Oreo cookie one and Robert got a Dime bar one. They were huge and so tasty! Obviously so unhealthy, I stupidly forgot to take a photo of them, they were served in huge american flag cups and had a tower of whipped cram on the top! To eat, Robert got french toast and nutella on the side and I got the buttermilk pancakes, with maple syrup and chopped banana on the side!! Haha at the banana to try and make it a tiny bit more healthy!! The portions were humongous!!! I'm not even kidding, Robert only managed one and a half slices (he got three), they were huge thick slices of bread! I only managed one and a half pancakes (I got three too) and they were the biggest pancakes I think I have ever seen! So yummy though!! We were so full when we left! We then just went back to mine and relaxed for a while, watching the telly and on the computer! We had a takeaway for dinner too! Naughty us, hehe! Watched Take Me Out and then The X Factor! Perfect Saturday I think!!

On Sunday Robert and I had a really long lie!! Probably too long, but hey, we work hard, so we are allowed!! Hehe! I didn't leave the house once yesterday! I got really really busy, tidying my room up! I completely gutted out my wardrobe and my room, which had got so over loaded and needed a good tidy! It took me the whole day and I threw so much out! It feels so good when you get the time to have a really good clear out . The cats were loving all the excitement of all the piles and going in and out of the wardrobe! I saw three spiders, which is the one animal I just cannot like. I had my trusty spider catchers though and only one little one escaped! Alice basically chased it along the wall until it decided it would just crawl behind my chest of drawers, so thanks Alice!!! The other two strangely enough were eaten.... She's a strange little thing I tell ya! Flo always decided to join in the fun, just when the fun is over, in this case just when Alice has decided to crunch the spider up into little pieces!! Yuck!

For example...

Alice (little black cat) was playing with a pencil (the Ikea variety), which seems to be her favourite thing like ever! Especially if you place it in a shoe! Anyway so she is playing with this pencil in her bed, she notices Flo coming to investigate what she is doing, she stops playing. Mean old Alice, not letting Flo play her game! Flo gets fed up and wanders off, Alice is happy as she still gets to play with her pencil!

Any way! My room is now super tidy and I love it again! Any one else love getting their place tidy?! Hopefully it will not get messed up to quickly! If it does then it will be Roberts fault!! Haha!

Boots Haul!!

Hi Girls! Ok so firstly I would just like to say thank you very much to Rachael from Rivasoave for alerting me to the fact that Boots were doing a 3 for 2 on all make up items! Hmmm, so yea thanks for your blogpost! Hehe I was feeling awful jealous of what you bought especially the brushes! Any way so when I was in my local shopping centre with Robert paying off our next holiday (cannot wait for February!!) I wandered into Boots, just wanting to buy a new body polisher/louffa for the shower, obviously I naughtily wandered over to the make up section. Bad Jen! Although I didn't feel that bad, 1 because it was 3 for 2 and 2 because I had just saved a huge amount of money to pay for the holiday, so I was proud of myself and felt like I needed a treat! Also Robert didn't say I wasn't allowed so he must of felt the same as me!! Hehe, so here is what I bought!

Firstly I picked up another Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, because they are just fab! They don't dry out my lips and are just so easy to apply! For my review on these click here! Ok so on Wednesday I picked up the colour 001 Honey, which I have read a lot about! It is definitely a "my lips but better colour", really natural and pretty! This was £7.99.

Then I just had to pick up one of the Models Own Mirrorball Collection! So after looking at all the colours, I choose the purple Boogie Nights colour!! I think I would definitely go back and pick up the blue one, because that is super pretty!! This was the item that I got free, I think it would have been £5. Let me just tell you this is so super super sparkly and these picture do not so it justice! I had put it on after I bought it and I just couldn't stop looking at my nails!! Hehe! Keep an eye out for a Nail of the Day post using this!

Top swatch has two coats and the bottom has just one!

The last thing I picked up was the new 24 hour colour lip glosses from Maybelline. I had been really intrigued by the advert on the tv and had really wanted to pick up the coral colour that was in the advert! The Boots I was at had no tester at all for the colour I really wanted to buy. However, there was no way I was buying a colour I could not swatch and check to see the colour for, so I picked up this gorgeous pink, called Plum Seduction. It is actually a really pretty colour and is a colour that could be worn during the day and night. I have not yet tested how long it actually last for, so that will be something to find out! Also the balm that you put over the top of the colour is really soft and moisturising and also smells of strawberries, which is super yummy!! I did think it was quite expensive at £8.99, but I just thought I would get it and try it out!

So that was my little haul! Have you got any of these items? Let me know what you think of the new Maybelline 24 hour colour, what colour have you got and how long does yours really last for?!

Love, Jen x
