Its A Blondes Life's New Look!

Ahhhh say goodbye to the old Its a Blondes Life girls!!!

My blog is now so much more 'me' and it looks so much more professional looking! I even have a button at last!!! I took my time getting that one sorted! Haha. I don't know where to start! The amazing Chelsea from Olive & Ivy created my design for me! Chelsea is just awesome! I couldn't believe how right she got it to be honest. She gives you a questionnaire and you fill it in with as much detail as possible. I didn't think I would be able to give a lot of info for her, as I never really knew what kind of look I would like. So anyway I totally fell in love with what she created for me! Go and have a look at her design blog, Olive & Ivy Design. Thank you so so much Chelsea! You are fab!!

Now obviously the pages will take a little while to be up and running, so be patient. Also just to  let you know I will be doing some button swaps!! So let me know if you want to! Oh and can you spot the cats? Its so cute that they are part of my blog now!

All my favourite colours are incorporated into the design, I love the flowers, the welcome note and the fonts of the headings! Its all so great!! I would love for you girls to let me know what you think! Its going to take a little while to get used to it all, hehe!

I hope the blog likes it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG!!!

One Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a big day for Its a Blondes Life!

My blog turns one!! So to celebrate, I am totally going to be making one of these amazing cakes.... Oh and I am actually present on he first cake.. The cake maker totally had me in mind when she was creating her icing girl....

Haha, or maybe not... I think both a little out of my cake making skills (ie. zero). I will probably go and buy myself a cupcake to celebrate!

How cute are these vintage birthday cards!?! I have seen quite a lot of people celebrating their one year blogiversary in April actually  Last April must of been an inspiring month! I hope this April has been the same. I love finding new blogs to read, maybe there will be some fun new blogs to find!

I also wanted to say that I have a big surprise tomorrow for my blogs birthday, but you will have to wait and see what that is... Oh and just so you don't get very excited it is not a give away, hehe, but something that will benefit my blog as well as my readers!

A huge thank you to everyone who reads and follows my little blog! It has become a major part of my life and it does not feel like a year has passed at all!! Ok so here's a laugh for you all, click here to have a look at my very first post!!! It feels amazing to have been a part of this blogging world for one year and I can't wait to be keeping at it for many more years to come!

I can't wait for my blog to be one tomorrow!

April Is The Month Of Hauls!

So yea this is the fifth haul post this month... I do have an excuse though!! My holiday hauls at the start of the month were things bought in March and my Birthday haul doesn't count cause I never bought any of it. My beauty haul from Saturday does count and the New Look items further down the post were all bought on the same day! Oh well here is the haul!

I wanted to show you some of the things I have got recently from Monsoon. The first item is a jacket! It is actually so cute on!! It is a short rain jacket, which is really light, so perfect for spring! I love it, as it has toggles around the waist, which obviously shows off your shape! It is a really nice colour actually (Monsoon call it Mink) and it goes with all colours so no matter what I'm wearing I can through this on! I have been really enjoying wearing it! Its £59 and is worth it as it is so well made!

So this next item, is probably my favourite pair of trousers I own. They are called the Millicent Floral Print jeans and are basically the bomb.com ok?! I absolutely love them and yes they are skinny jeans and the print is amazing and the colours are so pretty! When I wear them I walk around feeling all summery! These jeans are £45.

There are even little birds through the print! So cute!!

I also got this stone coloured cardigan, which has lace detail down the back. It is really floaty and can easily be used in so many different outfits. This is £39.

Lastly I bought a Sadie vest top, which Monsoon have in loads of colours, this one is my favorite and is a really pretty cornflower blue colour (some people say its lilac). It definitely looks more purple in the photo, but in real life its blue! It also matches the jeans perfectly! This is £16 and just fits so perfectly! A great buy!!

Ok so now onto the sneaky shopping I did in New Look! Hehe! Just some casual things here. First item was a bright pink marl effect hoody, which I love! This was £14.99.

I then picked up this basic tshirt, which is a corally pink colour. Its great because its more fitted than other tshirts I have, which makes  a nice change to a baggy one! This was only £4.99!

The next two tshirts were in a deal, you were able to choose two printed tshirts for £15. Obviously I could not resist (seeing as I'm addicted to buying tshirts...). Basically one has a pretty blue pattern and the other has a pink paisley print on it! There were loads of different tshirts to choose from, but these two were my favourite!

Let me know what you think of the Monsoon items! Oh and also tell me if your just as addicted to buying tshirts as me.... Hehe! Have you done many hauls this month? If so what did you buy?

Debenhams & Superdrug Beauty Haul!

Hi girls!! Hope your all well. I have a haul for you, a lot of which are essentials, but some are quite exciting!!

So as you can see I needed to top up on a lot of things and a few items were on deals! I have really been loving the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner in the Hello Hydration range. I feel as though my hair has become a lot thicker and less dry feeling too! My hair has also stayed cleaner looking for longer! These are also on a 2 for £6 at the moment in Superdrug and these are the big sized bottles! Also on a deal was the Sure deodorant, which is 2 for £3 and obviously I can't go without that! I then picked up a big Batiste dry shampoo in my favourite scent Tropical!

I also needed to bet more cotton buds and kirby grips! I honestly just don't understand where these go. You buy a pack and then use them a few times and you can't find them again! I'm sure a lot of us have this problem! Hehe.

I then picked up a little treat for myself! A L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash (what a name!?!!) in the colour Romy. Its a really pretty pink, which looks almost as bright as a fuschia colour on the lips. It feels so light on the lips, although quite a strange consistency almost like a gel. It is a great stain too, stays put and is hard to remove completely with make up remover!!

I put an Instagram photo up yesterday (and also on Twitter) telling you that I had something new on my lips! Well it was this! Oh and my Instagram is @jenstar_blonde follow me! Hehe!

If you read my Birthday Haul, then you will know I got a Debenhams voucher from my friends, lucky me! I knew I wanted to try out a new foundation and I headed straight to MAC! After telling the girl about my dry skin, she colour matched me with the Mineralize Moisture Foundation. I can tell you all now that I am matched to NC20!! I have always heard everyone talking about what colour they are etc and now I have one too! Hehe.

I am so impressed with this foundation. It feels so lovely and soft on my skin and glides over any dry patches. Below you will see the foundation swatched and then blended out onto my skin. The NC range of colours are designed to minimise red patches and as I have a pink undertone this was the best choice for my skin. This is why it looks so yellow, as it allows the foundation to cover any red or pink, giving me a lovely complexion! Yay!

As I still had some money left on my gift card I headed over to Benefit (of course!). My first thought was to try out the new Fake Up Concealer! The lovely lady at the counter applied it and it looked awesome and not to mention it felt so gorgeous when applied! I obviously just had to have it! I only own two concealers so it was about time I tried a different one!

You will have probably all heard about this concealer already, but what is so great about it, is that it has an amazing hydrating ring around the concealer, which means application is so smooth and easy. This also allows the concealer to sit under the eye without any creasing, as the moisturising part of the product has sorted all the problems out!

Before she applied Fake Up, the lady moisturised  my eye area with Benefit's Its Potent eye cream. I am always quite wary of the creams that are applied to my face, as I have eczema and I'm always quite scared of making it any worse, but this cream felt so amazing on. It completely awakened my eye area and you could totally see the difference between what eye she had applied it to and which one she hadn't. I have heard about this cream before and so knew it was full of all natural goodness. So I bought it, mostly because I really want to start using an eye cream (as I don't at the moment) ad this one just felt so lovely on I couldn't resist it! At £24.50 it will hopefully be worth it, but the Benefit lady that was helping me also has really bad eczema but can use the cream and also the face moisturiser (which felt amazing on my hands by the way, they are still soft this morning! She gave me a sample of it to try!). If you are looking to try a higher end eye cream, Benefit is the place to go! I will be applying it morning and night and let you know how I get on!

So that was the end of my haul! What do you girls think of what I bought? Oh and apologies for the dark photos of the MAC foundation. My camera ran out of battery and I was meeting friends so the photos had to be taken when I came home! Oh wells, I guess these things can happen from time to time! Hehe!

When I Grow Up...

"When I grow up, I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies! When I grow up I wanna see the world, drive nice cars I wanna have boobies!"

So yea whenever I see that phrase I end up singing the Pussycat Dolls song... It was a good one too, but today I am actually linking up with the gorgeous Erin from Two Thirds Hazel! As soon as Erin posted about the link up I just knew it was going to be a fun one! So "be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it, you just might get it!!"

Any way here is me at around 2 years old, haha what a cutie I was! At this point in time I was probably just thinking of sweets, toys and sleeping and lets face it things probably haven't changed too much...

So since we are all feeling like this when I grow up....

I will get that dam Pussycat Dolls song out my head!

Although I have to say the last three (see the world, drive nice cars, boobies) are very true. Two of which have came true (sadly for me not the last one!!)!

Ok ok enough of the song.... When I grow up...

I will actually know what I want to do as a career. Why is this so hard, why can't I just know pof something I like and want to do!!

I would live in America.

I will have a lovely house with Robert and it will be kept immaculate and never be messy (hehe we will see how long that one lasts..!)!

Oh and the house would look like this...

My closet will be full of gorgeous clothes and will enable me to easily create lovely outfits.

My skin will be perfect, as will my make up!

My metabolism will never slow down, meaning I could eat whatever I want and still stay slim.

Exercise would mean riding one of my many horses.

I would hopefully get on with my mum.

I would be filled with happiness, just like I am now without all these things

I would still cry at movies, at animal cruelty, at sad stories.

I would still sometimes want to be by myself and do my own thing!

I would want to be with my lovely Robert, just like I am now!

Speaking of Robert... When Robert grows up...

He would not make bunny ears behind Winnie the Poohs back!!

Robert would also be able to do two things at once....

Like being able to hear people speaking to him when he is on his laptop or phone.... Uhuh.

He will let me go to Disneyland/World when ever I please!

All in good time I'm sure....Loved this link up Erin! Now I am off to see how many other people started their post off with the song....

What will you do when you grow up?

24 Things Before 24!

Hi girls!!

So as I turned 23 last Sunday, I want to create a list of goals for the next year! Some are big and some are just little, but still I am hopefully going to do them all!! If you want to see how I got on with my goals for last year then click here!

1. Buy our first home!! Robert and I are both still living with our parents and Robert mostly stays at my house. After 4 and a half years its about time we got our own place and I can't wait till we find one!!

2. I really want to try out some new foundations. I am very loyal when it comes to foundation, so this is definitely something I am going to change up a bit and find some new ones that give me a different look and feel!

3. At the moment, after a friend recommended it to me, I have been watching Gossip Girl.   Obviously it was a huge tv show, but I never actually watched it once. So Since starting from the beginning, I am in love with it!! I can't wait to watch all the series and see what happens! This is the episode I have watched up to...

4. In May, Robert and I are finally going to the Warner Brother Studios to see Harry Potter Studio Tour!! I cannot wait!!

5. Robert and I are going to Silverstone at the end of June for the Formula One!! I got us tickets for Roberts Christmas, so he is very excited about it and so am I!

6. I really need (and want) to learn how to cook. At the moment I don't cook at all and I can't wait till we get our own house and we can cook whatever we want! At the moment my mum and dad are getting a new kitchen put in, so I think it will be a good place to learn (if my mum lets me that is...)! Oh and also I cannot wait to be able to bake cakes and cookies, yummy!!

7. Moving on from number 6 I really need to try and eat more healthy foods, which will really be able to happen once I learn how to cook! I am such a fussy eater and almost have a fear of eating certain things so this will be a scary step, but I will try! Oh and looking at the photo above really does not help with the healthy eating goal, but hey ho!!

8. We are getting to take our nephew Robbie to Disneyland Paris!! Robert's sister is getting married in September and while they are on honeymoon, Robert and I get to take Robbie on an amazing adventure!! He will be so excited, as he will be three and a half by then. It is going to be all so magical to him, I can't wait to see his wee face!!

9. I have been feeling very content with life recently and I would love for this to continue and keep feeling happy!!

10. After getting loads of games for my new 3DS, I now have all 5 of the Professor Layton games (I love puzzles)! Three of them are brand new, so I want to play and complete all five of the Professor Layton games in order! I'm sure it will be easy.... I hope!

11. I really want to save money up this year, as well will need to be buying lots for when we get a house! Will definitely be doing this one and cut down with the buying of hings, not that I am too bad anyway!

12. By April next year I would love to reach 300 followers on my blog! Fingers crossed I can do this one!

13. After getting my hair cut really short in 2011 and keeping it that way for over a year, I have been really wanting to get my hair back to being long again! This quest started probably about June 2012 and it has grown quite a bit in that time!! My hair grows quite fast anyway, so its definitely getting there! I would love to have long hair again!

14. I would love to make some new friends, whether real life ones or bloggy ones,  I don't mind! Hehe!

15. As I work everyday I really need to try and make some time for myself  and relax! Don't know how I will do this, but I will try!!

16. I really want to get my clothes sorted and actually be able to see what I have in my wardrobe and drawers easily! This means a tidy up and sorting session!!

17. I need to start exercising, whether it be going back to horse riding, joining a gym or just going ot for long walks with Robert! I need to get myself fitter and in better shape!

18. I'm going to complete my new game, Pokemon White 2! I have hardly ever completed a Pokemon game, as much as I used to love playing the! This one though is going to be beaten!! And yes I love Pokemon!

19. Robert and I have not been to the cinema in 2013!! This is just completely crazy! We used to go to the cinema every two weeks!! To be honest there has not been anything so far that has caught our eye, but coming up there are loads of films so this will definitely change!! I miss the cinema!!

20. Ok I will keep this one simple.... Put a ring on it Robert!! Ok?!

21. I really want to see my friends more and do lots of fun things with them! Its hard because everyone works and we hardly get a time when everyone is free. So this is going to change and I'm going to make loads more time for them!

22. I'm going to be sending out my Pay It Forward mail. I have got the months when I am sending it etc, still need to write the letters!

23. I want to make a scrapbook of Robert and I's memories of our holiday, I love the idea of scrapbooking, but as per usual ever have had a chance to look into it. This year I will make one!!

24. Last but not least and more likely just a dream, but I would love to go back to the USA!! Robert and I love it there and can't wait to go back!! Not sure what part, but probably Chicago! It looks like an amazing city!!

Photos (bar one) courtesy of weheartit.com!

And that is my 24 things!! So most of them are just little fun things, but hopefully I will have completed all of these by April 2014!! Wish me luck!!

Love, Jen x
