BooHoo £50 Blogger Challenge!

Hi girls!

Boohoo has made it into the top 10 fashion money saving websites! To celebrate this, Boohoo has asked us bloggers to create a look for under £50!! Boohoo will be giving away £50 vouchers to four entries, so that they can buy their outfit (or what ever they like!). I did find this challenge quite hard, as the shoes were the most expensive thing, which meant you could not get many pieces of clothing! So in the end I went for a night out look and this would definitely be a dress I would wear! In fact I wish I had it to wear tonight!!!  I think everybody has done a version of this by now, so here is mine!

Victoria Multi Coloured Geo Foiled Bodycon Dress - £15
Madison Winged Ring - £5
Areilla Black Super High Platform Heels - £30

I love my outfit! It may be very simple, but obviously with that dress you can't go overboard with the accessories! What do you think? If you haven't already taken part, then here is all the info you need!

 How to Enter
1. Head over to Boohoo.com and start piecing together an outfit, making sure you do not exceed your £50 budget (no student discounts or other voucher codes can be used to help you stretch this budget).
2. Write a post about your outfit and this competition on your blog, which includes a link back to our home page Fashion Vouchers
3. Email a link to your entry to competition@fashionvouchers.com.

The Rules
1. The prize will consist of 1 x £50 BooHoo.com voucher, and there will be four winners.
2. No cash alternative is available for the prize.
3. The competition starts on September 1st.
4. Closing date for entries is September 30th.
5. Winner will be announced by October 10th on our twitter page @fashvouchers..
6. Only one entry per person.

And that's it! Good luck if you decide to enter too! Its also a good excuse to have a look through all the clothes Boohoo has! Let me know if you have created a post! I would love to see what you have done with the £50!!

I Heart Calgel!

Hi girls!

Haha I jokes.. This is not my nail polish collection, I actually only own 21 nail polishes! Thank Pinterest for the photo! Haha I will do a nail polish collection and you can see how short a post it would be!! Oh and I did say only 21 and I do have my reasons! Although I am slightly jealous of all you ladies with loads of different colours, glitters and nail effects! Nail polish just does not work for me!

When I wear nail polish, it can never go on nicely and then I always have to wait about an hour before I touch anything or else my nails will DEFINITELY get ruined! There's no maybe about it, my nails that I just painted will always touch something and then get smudged and that annoys me a lot! Also I would say that I probably get only one day of non chipped nails and that is because if I scratch (because of my eczema) the nail polish just gets rubbed away!! Then I also just like to pick the polish off too (bad Jen!). I do love having pretty colours on my nails though, which is why I love Calgel!

If you are not sure what Calgel is, well it is a gel that is painted onto your nails and then dried under a UV (?) light. It comes in so many different colours and stays on my nails for four weeks! Now can I just say, that after what I told you above, having a colour on my nails for four weeks is amazing!! No chips or smudging! I love having it on my nails! It also makes it harder for me to scratch, which was an unexpected bonus. As the calgel is quite thick on the nail it means that there is no sharp edge for me to scratch with and therefore when I wear then I have very little marks on my skin! Sadly the downside of this is that it costs me £26 to get it done (sad face!!). If I had a lot of money I would get this done all the time! Also do not pick them off after the four weeks, because it can break your nail and make them peel! Although if taken off properly at a salon, it will not harm your nails at all! Therefore it is much better than acrylics! Anyway back to the post!

I thought I would share with you my Calgel history and share my love for this product! I have had 5 different calgels done. Now obviously as they are expensive, this is a reasonable number I think for just knowing about it for over a year now. So here we go!

My first set of calgels were for my aunts wedding. I was a bridesmaid, which was amazing so I just had to get my nails done for it! I picked a colour that was very similar to my dress, a dark purpley aubergine colour. You can see my bouquet in the photo, which was just so pretty!

My next set were for nights out and I just felt like treating myself! I love the hot pink colour of my nails here!!

Then I got a set for when I went to America in January. The colour is quite hard to make out, but to me it looked like I had a boiled sweets on my nails, as they were kind of two tone, but almost see through too. Really hard to explain! Basically the colour was almost a corally pink with some peach thrown in there too. They were just super pretty on my nails!

Now it gets to the exciting sets!! I asked if I could get glitter on my nails, as the girl had them out on the table. So I went for a really unusual turquoise colour on my nails with tonnes of sparkly blue, pink and silver glitter on top! I was in love!!

My last calgel nails were again with glitter obviously!! I went for a really pretty barbie pink with pink and silver glitter on the tips and then had it fading upwards! I really loved this combination!!

Sadly I have not had calgels since April and I would love to get another set, but now I am on a spending ban and I will not give in to my desires!! Hehe, writing this post has really made me want to get them!! I cannot wait until I can get another set and I wonder what colour I would get on my nails then?! Ooo exciting times!

Have you ever tried gel nails? What has been your experience with them?

Happiness For Me Is...

Hi girls!! I thought I would do a happy post today!! Here is a selection of things that just make my life better!!

1. Getting to spend loads of time with Robbie! I love hanging out with this cheeky little guy!! Robbie is 2 and a half and is Robert's nephew (and mine too!). He is just such a character! We get to take him out quite often and we took him for dinner last night to Pizza Hut. We had a great laugh and little Robbie was up on a big bouncy castle with slides and he was just hilarious! He kept shouting "out of my way" when he was at the top of the slides! He had just went through a ring and another boy was trying to come through after him and as Robbie stood up he bumped into the other boy so he fell back through the ring, Robbie ran off laughing and honestly his cheeky face was hilarious!! He ran off and kept looking behind! He totally knew he had done something naughty! Haha!!

Robbie also went on a little Bob the Builder ride and when it moves the theme tune plays, cue Robbie trying to sing the song very loudly!! Honestly just so funny! I really love feeling like a little family, the three of us out together. Although it is quite nice to give him back after a lot of running around! He is just the best behaved two year old though!!

2. Having a cute little bar of Bubbly chocolate to eat at work!! Seriously though!! So cute and so yummy!!!

3. I love driving my car. You just have total freedom, I don't mind driving anywhere at all! At work sometimes I will have to deliver a tender and I get to go on an adventure trying to find a place I have never been before! I love having a look at Google maps before I leave and memorising the route and then off I go on a little trip! Makes me very happy just to drive the roads how they should be driven and have good music playing that  I can sing along too! Ooo anyone notice the rainbow in my wing mirror below?! Hehe!

4.  Reading the blogs I follow and watching my favourite Youtubers!! At the moment I love EssieButton, FleurDeForce (and obviously FleurDeVlog!), The Camera Lies Beauty and of course Sprinkle Of Glitter! Getting to watch these girls just make me smile! They are quite hilarious and after work it is great to get to watch a video or two to brighten the day!

5. Being with Robert! He is honestly they best boyfriend I could ever ask for! Yes he can be annoying (more like very annoying!) at times (hehe!), but he is just amazing! He knows me so well that it can be scary at times, but I am honestly the luckiest girl in the world to have this man on my side! You make me very happy Robert! I hope you know that!

Love you, gorgeous man!!!

6. My cats! They are just my little furbabies and coming home to them everyday makes me smile! They are the cutest little cats ever and are forever amusing me with their tricks and cheekiness!! They have some of the funniest personalities I know! Here are the cheeky cats now:::
My cheeky, but cuddly tiger, Flo!

My dainty little hunter, Alice!

7. Going to our weekly pub quiz! Every Monday night Robert and I go to a great little pub quiz! My parents have now been coming along too for a month now and it is great fun! I enjoy it very much and have won it a fair number of times! If you have a pub quiz near you then I really recommend you go!!

What makes you girlies happy?!

Last Friday Night #4

Hi girls! How was your weekend?! Hopefully you had a good one!

I am back with another Friday night for you! I spent this one going out for dinner with my friends! We had a fab time of non stop chatting and a great catch up! So I have a FOTN for you...

Primer - Benefit The POREfessional
Foundation - No 7 Intelligent Colour
Blusher - Benefit Dandelion

Under Eye Concealer - Garnier Anti Dark Circles
Eye Primer - Benefit Lemon Aid
Eyebrows - Benefit Brow Zings
Brow Bone Highlight - Stila In The Garden eye shadow in Chinois
Eye Shadow (all over lid) - Stila In The Garden eye shadow in Honey
Eye Shadow (outer corner and crease) - Stila In The Garden eye shadow in Moss
Eye Liner - Stila In The Garden liner in Starfish
Mascara - Maybelline One By One Volume Express

Lipstick - Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting

So I just went for a golden smoky eye and a subtle lip and cheek, as we weren't going on a proper night out so I didn't need to fully glam up!! Now onto my OOTN

Cardigan - New Look
Necklace - Tiffany's
Top - Oasis
Bag - Paul's Boutique
Jeans - Hollister
Wedges - New Look

So quite casual clothes too, but dressed it up with the wedges! It wasn't very nice weather either, hence the chunky cardigan! We had dinner at a burger place called Ketchup! It is quite expensive and for just my chicken burger it cost over £8!! You then have to order chips separately! My burger to be honest wasn't even that nice! Also can I just say that this company make their own tomato sauce, hence the name, but I'm sorry its terrible!!! It basically tastes of vinegar!! So yea not a very good burger was had by me! My friends did enjoy theirs though, so maybe it was just mine!!

We also got a dessert for us to share and it was AMAZING and utterly huge! Sadly I never got a photo, because basically the three of us just dived in as soon as it was put on the table, but here is what was in it:

It was basically amazeballs and I could have probably ate it all myself!! Haha! We ended up staying in the restaurant for almost 3 hours, as we were chatting so much! Overall, I had a great night, because of our chatter and that ice cream!!! Yummy, hehe!

Did you have any amazing desserts this weekend?! I would really love to know!

Disney Film Favourites!

Hi Girls!

A bit of a random post for you today, but hey its my blog and I can write about anything I want! I'm sure some of you girls like it too!! Hehe! So as you probably all know I love Disney a lot!! I probably like it way to much than a 22 year old should, but I don't care!! Haha! It is probably really sad that when I go to Disneyland Resort in California, I will be trying to meet as many characters as I can!! Oh and also going on all of the rides! I can't wait!! So to celebrate my love for Disney, here are some of my favourite films, characters and moments!! Oh and by the way you will be reading the word "love" a lot!!
Love Dopey!! Although the witch scared me half to death when I was little!!!

This has always been the saddest part of any Disney film for me! floods of tears come out when ever I watch this part of Dumbo!

"B b b b bi bir bir bird! Bird!" So cute!

I loved this scene in Cinderella where her mice and bird friends made her dress!

When I was a little girl I wanted to be called Alice, because I loved the film so much!

Yup, I'm sure we all know this scene!!

This was my favourite moment from Sleeping Beauty! It's so funny!!

The squirrel scene from Sword in The Stone is so cute! But its really sad, when Arthur turns back into a boy and the little girl squirrel is so sad! Awww!!

I adored Eeyore!!

I think the Little Mermaid was probably one of my all time favourites! Loved this moment so funny!!

I think Beauty and the Beast was probably one of the most romantic of the Disney films, don't you think?

Haha! I loved Abu, such a cutie!

So much wisdom for a kids movie! I think Disney probably taught me A LOT!!

My absolute favourite Disney song, ever, Colours of the Wind. I could still sing all the words! Pocahontas is probably my favourite Disney film, along with The Little Mermaid.

I always loved watching this part of A Goofy Movie, where Max sang Stand Out.

Haha! I loved Mushu!

I loved Tarzan! When Tarzan and Jane met, it was just hilarious!

Eeep!! Lilo and Stitch was one amazing film and it was so funny! I was so excited to go to Hawaii, because of this film!!! Hehe

Awww!! Wall-E and Eve! I thought this was such a great film and such cute characters too!

Bolt!!! I loved Mittens and Rhino! Hilarious!!

I loved Pascal!! So cute that I want one! Tangled was a really good film, that I could probably watch again and again!

And that, you will be glad to know, is that!! I was definitely a Disney kid when I was young, with all the films and toys, and I guess I still am at heart as some of these films were out very recently!!! Have I chosen any of your favourites?! Or have you do you love a Disney film that I haven't chosen?

Love, Jen x
