Most Worn Summer Things Tag!

Hi girls! So today I am taking part in the "most worn summer things" tag! I was tagged by Louise at Confessions of a Secret Shopper, whose blog is awesome by the way if you haven't checked it out yet! So I guess you all know how this goes already! There have been loads of posts done on this and not to mention Youtube videos! So I will just dive straight in! So my Most worn.... is:

Nail Polish - I have been wearing the Models Own Beach Party on my nails a lot, I think it look so summery! Then I have been using Models Own Indian Ocean on my toenails! I was actually surprised at how sheer this colour was, so I usually apply around 3 coats to make the colour stand out, but I think this would look amazing if used over the top of a different colour, to add some sparkle! I will be trying that next!

Hair Product - My most worn hair product has to be Batiste dry shampoo! Now as I have short hair, it does seem to get greasier than when I had long hair, so this is very useful! I only wash my hair every second day too, so its on the second day when I use it. I just love the scent of the Tropical version, which just smells of holiday to me and smells of coconuts and pineapple and just yumminess!! So i always go for this one!

Bag - I bought this bag in May and have been using it ever since! It is a Paul's Boutique bag, which is a brand I do love and this bag is just fab! It has three separate compartments so I can keep my bag super tidy and I did a "What's in my Bag?" post here! I love the bronze/grey colour too, which means it will go with any colour!

Shoes - These Accessorize ballet pumps are just the most comfiest shoes ever!!! Seriously, this is my third colour of these shoes I have had, so if your looking for comfy flats, I suggest you go for these! They are cute too and the elastic around the top means that there are no nasty edges for your feet to become sore with!

Clothing Item - The item I have picked is probably really boring! It's a t-shirt from River Island and I just love the pattern and the colours of it! I have worn it a lot this summer!

Accessory - This is definitely my beloved Fossil watch, which I got in New York when I was there in January! I love it and it is just my perfect watch! So I have been wearing it quite a lot!

Foundation - Well mine isn't really a foundation, but more of a BB Cream! I guess it is still the same!  But I would say this summer I have worn this Garnier version more than my other foundations!

Blusher - I would say Benefit's Dandelion has definitely been used more than my other blushers, as it gives a gorgeous light pink flush of colour, perfect for summertime! If you want to see a review of this then please click here!

Lip Product - Easily my most used lip product would be my Revlon Lip Butters. I couldn't reduce it just to one colour so I decided to put two into this tag! I have been wearing Cotton Candy loads and also Creme Brulee is brilliant if your wanting a "your lips but better" colour!

Mascara - You have seen this mascara a lot on this blog! I just love it! I love the wand, the consistency, the packaging and the bigger lashes it creates! So yes I have worn it a lot this summer!! Hehe, by the way, its the Maybelline One By One Volume Express!

Eyeshadow - I always switch my eye shadows around! So choosing one was hard! In the end I decided that I have probably used these colours the most this summer! Maybelline Silk Glam eye shadows in Pink Drama!

Fragrance - My favourite perfume at the moment is definitely Calvin Klein's CKIN2U! I love the smell, its just so fresh and has a litlle floral in there too. I can't describe the smell really, but to me its like a sunny spring day in a bottle!! Haha!

Yay, finished! I tag any of you that would like to do this tag! If you have done it then leave me a little link and I will have a little look and see what your most worn things are! Have you been wearing any of the items I have a lot this summer?

Last Friday Night #3

Hi girls hope you all had a good weekend!

Well as my title states, I had a good Friday night that I will tell you about! Robert and I decided we would go out for dinner and then the cinema, which you probably read about in my Friday's letters post, which you can find here! So as we had a good night out, I thought I would do an OOTN and a FOTN too!

Scarf - River Island
Cardigan - New Look
Tshirt - River Island
Jeans - River Island

Wedges - River Island

Haha, action shot above! Ok so I seem to like River Island a lot in this outfit! Haha, sorry I never realised it until typing up this post! Anyway, so I decided to wear this outfit, because we weren't going anywhere fancy for dinner, so quite a casual outfit was required! So now onto my FOTN!

Primer - Benefit The POREfessional
Foundation - No 7 Intelligent Colour
Blusher - Very YSL Make Up Palette Blush (see here)

Under Eye Concealer - Garnier Anti Dark Circles
Eye Primer - Benefit Lemon Aid
Eyebrows - Benefit Instant Brows Pencil
Brow Bone Highlight - Stila eye shadow in Chinois
Eye Shadow (all over lid) - Benefit Creaseless Cream eye shadow in Airbrush
Eye Shadow (outer corner and crease) - Very YSL Make Up Palette in Cashmere Brown
Eye Shadow (middle of eye lid) - Very YSL Make Up Palette in Parma Pink (which is actually a very light shimmery lilac colour)
Eye Liner - Benefit Bad Gal Liner
Mascara - Maybelline One By One Volume Express

Lips - Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy

So we went into Glasgow city centre for a Dimaggios and we got seated right away, which was lucky! We had nachos to start with and then I had a pizza and Robert had a chicken dish! Overall it was very yummy, but as we were going to the cinema we didn't have a dessert. So we walked down to the Cineworld to see what was on and there were no films that were starting when we got there that we wanted to see! So here comes the funny bit, which is totally the kind of thing Robert and I do all the time, we drove to Xscape, which is probably about a 15 minute drive on the motorway. So we went into the Odeon cinema there and it was really busy! The film Ted that I wanted to see was full and again no other decent films were starting soon. So again we jumped back into the car and drove to the Showcase cinema in Linwood, which again is probably another 15 minute drive in the motorway! When we got there, Ted was not on for another hour, so we decided that we would watch The Wedding Video, which is a British film that just came out on that Friday. It was quite funny, but I think I would have preferred to have seen Ted! Dam you busy cinema in Xscape!!

So does anyone else do this? I mean drive to 3 different cinema's to actually get to watch a film.  Oh and by the way I had looked up times on the internet, for the Odeon, before you ask why we never just did that. At the time we didn't know what restaurant we were going to and all our plans changed! So I think people will find it weird that we are happy to drive around the place to watch a film, so please prove me wrong and tell me that others are this mad too?! Hehe!!

Very YSL Make Up Palette Review

Hi girls!! I am really excited to post this!

So about three weeks ago I saw the most gorgeous gold Yves Saint Laurent palette on a British Beauty Blogger's post! You can check that post out here! i just thought it was just the most prettiest palette! Obviously though I just forgot all about it though as you can only get it in Duty Free and it would obviously be very expensive! So much to my surprise, when my parents got back from the Olympics, my mum handed me this box:

I honestly was so shocked!! How could she have known that I would have wanted this so bad?!! She must just know my taste!! Hehe. On another note though, it wasn't the gold palette that I had been expecting! Oh no it was so much better!! Pink! Woohoo! I think the Briish Beauty Blogger had thought there was a red palette coming out along with the gold, well I can now clarify, it was a pink one!

Oh so pretty!! Within this palette, you get four eye shadows, two lip colours, one cheek colour and thre brushes to apply them with, oh and also a huge mirror! Perfect for if your on the go! The colours in this palette also differ as to what you got in the gold palette!

Ok so as you can see, the palette is just gorgeous! I still can't believe my mum got this for me! A total surprise and obviously super kind of her! Thanks mum! Hehe! Here is what YSL say about the colours:

Eyes:
Deep purple violet specked with gold
Soft and silky cashmere brown
Radiant luminous Parma pink
Shimmery “taffetas” pink

Complexion color:
Subtly dosed in pink pigments, this pastel blush adds sparkle to every natural skin color and may also be used as a highlighter to shape the cheeks.

Lips:
Chic emblematic fuchsia
Sparkling pink for a “healthy glow” effect

I am in absolute love! Hehe,  have already used some of the eye shadows and the blush. The blush is gorgeous and really buildable and the eye shadows blend so well. They are extremely soft to the touch and not powdery at all, instead are almost creamy. I haven't tried the lip colours yet, but I can't wait to! This is definitely going to be a go to palette for me!

Thanks for reading! What do you think of this make up set?

Friday's Letters #9

Hi girls! Its Friday's Letters time!

Dear Next Week's Readers, I have got some great posts lined up for you girls! Lots of beauty related ones and also one from Robert!! Yes Robert is going to be doing a post! So keep your eyes peeled for that little change! Anyone excited?! Dear Robert, hehe, now its official! You better get that post finished up! Thank you and can't wait to see what else you came up with! Can't wait for tonight for our little night of dinner and cinema! Yay! Dear Cinema, please oh please do not let me have to watch the Expendables 2, it is going to be a load of rubbish!! I normally love action films, but this just looks terrible! When I get there tonight please let Ted be on when we arrive, so I can convince Robert to go to that instead! Hehe! Dear Self, I think you are doing really well with your spending ban! you have not been shopping, even though there has been a huge urge to go buy make up and clothes and bags!! Eeeep! But you have not bough anything so very well done!! Yay! Dear Bedroom, I know you are still a mess and for that I am sorry, I will get tidying it tomorrow! Yup and hopefully I will sort out my ardrobe and what not because it all needs a good tidy up!! Dear Rain, why hello there!! How on earth can you be so heavy constantly?! you create a river flowing down my street!! It is still August, which means its still supposedly summer, so can you come back in September and take all the clouds away with you until then! Thanks! I will keep my fingers crossed, as it is extremely unlikely that the rain will listen to me sadly! Dear the X Factor, is it sad that I cannot wait for you to start tomorrow?!! Is anyone else excited?!!? I always love the first audition episodes as I think it is just hilarious when you get someone who totally thinks they can sing but they just cannot not AT ALL! I mean it does make great tv, but why would you do that to yourself?! Anyway I'm definitely not complaining!! Teehee! Robert is dreading you starting X Factor... Hehe!

This Works Clean Skin 5in1 Water Review

Hi girlies!! I have got a review today of the This Works Clean Skin 5in1 Water!

I first saw this product on a blog we probably all know and love, which is of course Sprinkle of Glitter! I was very intrigued by it and so I did a little bit of research on it! As most of you probably know, I have Eczema, which is very annoying! But, it also means that I need to be careful what products I put onto my skin! On top of this I have very dry skin, so the last thing I would want a product to do would be to dry my skin out even more and make my skin feel all tight! Also in respect to this product it comes in at £21, which for a cleanser is quite expensive, but hey this brand is quite high end, I guess! Hence why I did some research before spending the money! So when I did eventually buy it from Boots, I was quite confident that it would would work for me!

Ok so onto the the product itself!
What This Works say:

"A multi-tasking rosewater cleanser that effectively removes make-up, decongests and brightens"

"Gently cleanses, balances, brightens, refreshes and removes all traces of make-up. Rosewater and fruit-packed botanical waters help shed skin cells and boost elasticity. Ph balancing formula with olive and almond oils to cleanse and wild water mint to cool and tone. For healthy-looking, purified and radiant skin."

What do I say? Well basically, this works!!! Teehee! Obviously I just had to say that phrase in here some where! But anyway onto the proper review! I really am pleased to have spent the money on this product! It is amazing, like seriously!

Firstly it is just super easy to use! I use it at night before I go to bed and just put a small amount onto on of the big cotton wool pads (one will do your whole face!) and it gently removes make up, any impurities on your skin, dirt and even blackheads! For mascara and eye make up, I usually just put the cotton pad over my eye for a couple of seconds and then I can wipe it off easily, so no hard scrubbing is required at all! I love using this product, because before this I would always huff and puff about cleansing, as I was worried about my Eczema, but with this I have no worries!

Secondly, after using this my skin is left feeling soft and very clean! When I first put it on I was actually scared, in case my skin reacted to it! But no, my skin does not feel dry or tight after cleansing, it even looks better after you have used it, I guess that's my skin "brightening"! After using this, I put my moisturiser on and go to sleep and my skin always feels great in the morning! Its amazing, because before I got this, I would wake up and my skin would feel tired and dry! Also you only need to use a small amount, I usually put two pumps on my cotton pad and this can take off a full face of make up! This means that this 200ml will last me months and months! It really does leave you feeling refreshed and it is all very natural ingredients used, which is obviously very good too! There is a slight fragrance, which smells quite herbal, with a hint of rose, but again this is a natural scent and is not overpowering at all! All I can say is that it adds to the refreshed feeling!

I also love the packaging of the This Works brand, it's just so simple, which makes it look clean and fresh, so I guess this means the branding is doing its job very well indeed! After using this product for just over a month now, I know that this cleanser is doing my skin good! I just love that this product is helping to clear my skin of any nastiness and while doing this is not affecting my Eczema or dry skin! This product is suitable for all skin types, from my very dry skin right through to oily ones and it seems to work for them all! I have not seen one bad review on this product!

If you are looking for a quick and easy cleanser that works for all skin types, then this is definitely for you! I couldn't rate this product highly enough! Have you tried this water cleanser? What do you think of it? Let me know!

Love, Jen x
