Christmas Cats!

Hi girls!

I just thought I would put up a little post of my cats over Christmas! They have been up to some funny stuff! I bought the girls a reindeer costume!! Haha, its so cute! To be honest they didn't really like it on, I just wanted to try it on them so I could take some cute photos! They were so funny when they were wearing it!! Hehe!

Alice got a fright when she first saw Flo in the jacket!! Hehe.

Hehe!! I told you they were cute! I called them reincats! Then on Christmas day, my dad bought the girls a mechanical bug, which has a motion sensor on it, so that if something goes in front of it it moves away from the object! The cats absolutely love it!! Honestly as soon as they hear it or see it coming out, they get really excited!! Some photos of them on Christmas day!

Oh how they love that bug!! Haha. So now onto what I got the girls for Christmas!! Like I said in a previous post, I wanted to get them a big cat tree! I ordered it from Amazon on Wednesday the 19th of December and didn't think I would get it before Christmas. However it turned up on Christmas Eve, which was brilliant!! When Robert built it up for me, the cats were so intrigued by what it was, it was really cute! It is 1.8m high so it is really big and I got it for only £38! I thought it was a brilliant deal! It is also just in the spare room at the moment, so excuse the messy room surrounding it!

Can you spy Flo?

Looking out the window!

Awww my pretty babies! That has been what they have been up to over Christmas! Fun fun.... Being a reindeer, playing with a big bug and then climbing all over a cat tree! Oh the life of a cat! Have your pets been having fun over the festive period? Did they get and presents from Santa!?

The Magic of Christmas Day!

Hi girls!! It already feels like Christmas Day was ages ago!! I hate this feeling! So I thought I would keep a little memory of my Christmas Day this year on my blog! So here it is!

Robert and I woke up at 6am.... Very early for me, but we were both quite excited about the day ahead, so we got ready and drove down to Roberts house. When we got there everyone was still asleep and we had to just wait in a present filled living room until people stated stirring at 7am! As soon as our nephew Robbie was up, you could here him "has Santa been?! Has he been?!". So funny to see his excited little face when he walked down the stairs! Robert gave his mum and sister (Robbie's mum) a lump of coal that had been left for them by Santa! Robbie exclaimed that Santa was bad for giving it to them!! So we then moved onto the living room and his little face was such a picture!! Just so cute! He is going to be 3 in February so for him it is just all so magical!!

Robbie and his mum Cheryl!

Very excited about this!

And especially this pirate ship!

His batman costume!

So after the toy shop that just erupted out all over the living room floor, we headed back to my house to open our presents! Yay! I was super excited to give out the presents that I had bought my mum, my dad and to Robert! I bought my mum a new Pandora bracelet and charm, a YSL eye shadow palette and a couple of other little things. Robert and I got my dad tickets to see the New York Knicks at Madison Square Gardens! My mum and dad just went to New York today, the lucky devils, so they get to see the Basketball game on Tuesday night! I got Robert Formula One tickets, which he was super excited about and then also a couple of other things, like aftershave and a Scalextric track! So we all did well. I will show you girls what I got in a post soon! Here is where all the presents were on Christmas morning...

Hiding under the Christmas tree!! After the big opening, we all had to get ready to go pick up my granpa and go to the restaurant for our Christmas lunch at 1pm! We went to a restaurant right round the corner form my house called Flemings. So it was Robert, me, my mum and dad, Robert's mum and dad, my granpa, Roberts sister Cheryl, her fiance Scott, Robbie and a close family friend Rose! So there was 11 of us and it was great fun, all of us chatting away having a laugh and eating our Christmas dinner!

Robert's mum and Robbie!

I thought I would just go for quite a fresh look for my make up. So for my eyes, I used Stila In The Garden eye shadow palette, for cheeks I used Benefit Dandelion and on my lips I used an Accessorize lip gloss in Temptation.

We left the restaurant at 4pm and then Robert, my mum and dad and I just went back to my house to relax, watch tv and for me eat more food!! Hehe! So we had an amazing Christmas day, which was just so much fun and also full of family! Hope everyone else had a great Christmas Day! Can't believe it is all over already!

Holly Jolly Christmas Tag!

Hi girls!!

I haven't done a tag in a while so I thought I would give this one a go! I do love Christmas!!!

Courtesy of weheartit.com!

1. What are you doing for Christmas this year?

This year is an exciting one! Robert and I will be at his house say at 7am to watch our little nephew Robbie open all his presents (he's nearly 3, so for him it is oh so exciting!), then we will go back to mine for say 9am and we will open all our presents with my mum and dad! We will then go visit my Granpa. Also this year, my family and Roberts family are going out to a restaurant together for our Christmas lunch! So there will be 11 of us at the table! Then I think it will just be a relaxing night watching tv, playing games and eating yummy food!!

2. What's your favourite holiday drink?
Hmmm, I wouldn't say I have a holiday drink as such. Although I do love a caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks to warm me up!

3. Candy cane or Gingerbread men?
I would say candy canes! In fact I will need to get me one of those! Like now..... where can I get one?!

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
I'm not sure of this question. I do love loads of Christmas songs, such as Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, Band Aid - Do They Know Its Christmas, Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody and The Pogues - Fairytale Of New York!

5. Have you ever made a snowman?
Yup, a lot when I was younger with my dad. Although they were never that big!

6. Favourite winter fragrance?
Hmmm... its not a fragrance, but I do love the smell of the house when we get all the Christmas decorations out.

7. Favourite Christmas Movie?
Now here is a good question! I love Christmas movies! I would say my top four are:

All are absolutely hilarious and just such good fun!

8. Are you on the naughty list or nice list?
Of course I am on the nice list!! Hehe!!

9. Show us an embarrassing Christmas card photo (we know you have one!)
In the UK photo cards is just not something we do, it seems to be very big in America! We prefer a lovely picture of a snow scene, a snowman or of Santa Claus! So I do not have one!

10. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Yup, quite a few actually. The last two years have been white Christmases! It is always so magical when it happens!

11. Where do you usually spend the holidays?
At home with the parents and with Robert!

12. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
No, definitely not! Santa comes on Christmas Eve, so obviously there will not be any presents to open until the morning after he comes! What a silly question.... Haha!

13. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Ok lets try! Rudolph (easy!), Prancer, Dancer, Blitzen, Cupid.... ok I had to look for the rest! Total fail! The rest are called Dasher, Vixen, Comet and Donner!

14. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
Hmmm we don't really have any proper traditions as such. Just spending time together, I guess.

15. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake. We have always had fake trees! It means no mess and that we can use it again and again! I did a post on decorating my Christmas tree this year... take a look!

16. Hands down, what is your all-time favourite holiday food and sweet treat?
Well basically I love eating all the snack food that you can buy at this time of year, but I especially love Cadbury's Snow Balls! They are awesome, if you haven't tried them before go buy some you will not regret it!!

17. Be honest, do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I have always loved receiving gifts and probably always will, but it has definitely changed the past few years. I love buying really great presents and then being able to see their faces when they open it!! That is such a good feeling!

18. Show us your tackiest Christmas attire?
Don't have any! Haha!

19. What would be your dream place to visit for the holidays?
New York hands down, you always see it in the movies and it looks amazing! We were in New York at the start of this year (see here) and had the best time ever, I would love to go again to see the huge Christmas trees, the decorations and all the lights! My parents are actually going there on the 29th of December and will be there for a week, so I am sure they will have the best time over New Year there!

20. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
Not really I'm afraid!

21. Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I do always love siting down and wrapping all the presents I have bought, because it really puts me in the Christmas spirit, but I have to say I am not very good at it! I don't really have the patience to get the paper all neatly wrapped around the present!

22. Most memorable holiday moment?
Hmmm, this is a hard question. I don't really have a specific memory I can pin point. I just always love this really happy cheery time and then being younger and it being just so magical and exciting. Every year I was always scared to go into the living room on Christmas morning, probably just because I was so excited! My dad always had to look in first to double check that Santa had been and that we could go in!! Its still like that now! My dad always has to go in and then we follow him in! Hehe!

23. What made you realise the truth about Santa?
I guess it just became obvious to me and of course other kids at school would say. I probably still believed in him up until the age of 9 and then up until the age of 14 I wished he was real!!

24. Do you make new years resolutions and stick to them?
I do usually make some, but generally I don't stick to them!! I'm very much a girl of habit!

25. What makes the holiday's special for you?
I just love the magic surrounding it I guess! I also love all the great Christmas tv that comes on!

I tag any of you who want to have a go at these questions and then don't forget to let me know and I will come and see what your answers were!

Love, Jen x
