My Graduation!!!

So last Tuesday as some of you may know was a special day for me! I finally graduated from university!! I finally got my degree in Environmental Planning from Glasgow Caledonian University. I started uni in September of 2008, so quite a long time ago now. I met the love of my life there and had a good time. Although in the end I knew uni wasn't for me and I struggled for the third year. I wasn't really interested in the course, it didn't gel together well for me and I was confused by what my outcome would be. So I decided that I would not do my fourth year to get an Honours degree, a degree is good enough for me! I'm so pleased I am finally free and have something to show for those four years, and obviously not to mention Robert! That is the one thing I would say to anyone wanting to go to university.... Make sure you know what your course is going to entail, what subjects you will be doing and of course you have to love what it is going to be about!!

So onto the day! First up I will do a little Face of the Day for you girlies! I just wanted a nice natural look and didn't want to go to heavy and dark with my make up. Overall I was really pleased! So Here I am!

Ok So now onto the day! Woohoo, it was really exciting actually having to go up and get your gown and hood. I had to pick it up from the uni and then walked over to the Royal Concert Hall, which is where my graduation was held. I waited until my mum got there to put on my gown. Then when Robert and my dad got there we went up and got photos taken!! I don't have them back yet, but when I do I will show you them! Ok so all of the photos of the graduation and of me in my gown, were all taken either by my dad or Robert, so I cannot be blamed for the shoddiness of some the photos!! Hehe!

I am wayyyy up the back on the right hand side lol! It was funny because I could see my parents and Robert trying to find me, but they kept pointing at other people and then eventually Robert spotted me!! Haha, I was waving like mad at them trying to get there attention! I was so pleased that I got three tickets as well, because it wouldn't have been the same without Robert there! I just love him so much! I had such a good day, it did get a bit tedious watching everyone go up onto the stage, I was kind of glad I was in the last 10 though, because then I knew it was over!! Hehe, it wasn't too long to be fair, we were in there for about and hour and 45 minutes. It felt totally like a dream when I was coming up onto the stage and then when I had to walk to get my degree. I couldn't even here the clapping or my dad and Robert cheering! Here are some photos after the ceremony!

My Hood!

Robert and I!

My Dad!!

And My Mum!

So it was a very special occasion and we all had a brilliant day. I had to take my gown and hood back up to the uni, so my mum and dad went down to get a table at my favourite restaurant for dinner, obviously TGI Friday's! I had a strawberry daiquiri cocktail to celebrate! Hehe and had a big 3 course meal which was scrummy!!

Top - New Look
Skirt - Topshop
Wedges - New Look

TGI Friday's!

My mum treated me to a new charm for my Pandora bracelet too which was so nice of her, she must of sneakily bought it while going to TGI's! She got me one of the new charms, for this Christmas, a sparkly dangling star! So lovely! To see my other charms click here and here!

  6. Congratulations. :) I was fairly relieved to be out of university too. There are things I remember fondly but not so much that I'd want to be back there.

Besides, I remember being really grumpy on my graduation day. It was the hottest day of the year, I was sweltering in those robes, I'd been shouted at by one woman from Robes R Us for being "improperly dressed" despite having been assured by someone else from Robes R Us that I was properly dressed, I was worried about the graduate jobs market, everyone was getting in my face with a camera and then wondering why I looked like a bloodhound sucking a wasp.

The meal afterwards was nice though. Not least of all because I was being very disrespecful indeed and using the mortar board as a placemat. :)

    1. Thank you lovely! yea im on the same boat!! im glad i went to uni and had a good time there i guess mostly because of robert, but i would not want to go back!!

Aww thats rubbish about your graduation day! the only thing that annoyed me was my mum!! before the ceremony and then especially before the photos she kept nagging me oh your hair is not right , blah blah blah! lol i had to stay calm lol but felt like shouting at her!!

haha loved the mortar board as a place mat that would have been funny! our uni sadly doesnt do a big dinner, but i wasnt bothered for me it was better going away as a family to a restaurant where i would actually eat the food!! lol

      Thanks for your comment :)
