Debenhams & Superdrug Beauty Haul!

Hi girls!! Hope your all well. I have a haul for you, a lot of which are essentials, but some are quite exciting!!

So as you can see I needed to top up on a lot of things and a few items were on deals! I have really been loving the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner in the Hello Hydration range. I feel as though my hair has become a lot thicker and less dry feeling too! My hair has also stayed cleaner looking for longer! These are also on a 2 for £6 at the moment in Superdrug and these are the big sized bottles! Also on a deal was the Sure deodorant, which is 2 for £3 and obviously I can't go without that! I then picked up a big Batiste dry shampoo in my favourite scent Tropical!

I also needed to bet more cotton buds and kirby grips! I honestly just don't understand where these go. You buy a pack and then use them a few times and you can't find them again! I'm sure a lot of us have this problem! Hehe.

I then picked up a little treat for myself! A L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash (what a name!?!!) in the colour Romy. Its a really pretty pink, which looks almost as bright as a fuschia colour on the lips. It feels so light on the lips, although quite a strange consistency almost like a gel. It is a great stain too, stays put and is hard to remove completely with make up remover!!

I put an Instagram photo up yesterday (and also on Twitter) telling you that I had something new on my lips! Well it was this! Oh and my Instagram is @jenstar_blonde follow me! Hehe!

If you read my Birthday Haul, then you will know I got a Debenhams voucher from my friends, lucky me! I knew I wanted to try out a new foundation and I headed straight to MAC! After telling the girl about my dry skin, she colour matched me with the Mineralize Moisture Foundation. I can tell you all now that I am matched to NC20!! I have always heard everyone talking about what colour they are etc and now I have one too! Hehe.

I am so impressed with this foundation. It feels so lovely and soft on my skin and glides over any dry patches. Below you will see the foundation swatched and then blended out onto my skin. The NC range of colours are designed to minimise red patches and as I have a pink undertone this was the best choice for my skin. This is why it looks so yellow, as it allows the foundation to cover any red or pink, giving me a lovely complexion! Yay!

As I still had some money left on my gift card I headed over to Benefit (of course!). My first thought was to try out the new Fake Up Concealer! The lovely lady at the counter applied it and it looked awesome and not to mention it felt so gorgeous when applied! I obviously just had to have it! I only own two concealers so it was about time I tried a different one!

You will have probably all heard about this concealer already, but what is so great about it, is that it has an amazing hydrating ring around the concealer, which means application is so smooth and easy. This also allows the concealer to sit under the eye without any creasing, as the moisturising part of the product has sorted all the problems out!

Before she applied Fake Up, the lady moisturised  my eye area with Benefit's Its Potent eye cream. I am always quite wary of the creams that are applied to my face, as I have eczema and I'm always quite scared of making it any worse, but this cream felt so amazing on. It completely awakened my eye area and you could totally see the difference between what eye she had applied it to and which one she hadn't. I have heard about this cream before and so knew it was full of all natural goodness. So I bought it, mostly because I really want to start using an eye cream (as I don't at the moment) ad this one just felt so lovely on I couldn't resist it! At £24.50 it will hopefully be worth it, but the Benefit lady that was helping me also has really bad eczema but can use the cream and also the face moisturiser (which felt amazing on my hands by the way, they are still soft this morning! She gave me a sample of it to try!). If you are looking to try a higher end eye cream, Benefit is the place to go! I will be applying it morning and night and let you know how I get on!

So that was the end of my haul! What do you girls think of what I bought? Oh and apologies for the dark photos of the MAC foundation. My camera ran out of battery and I was meeting friends so the photos had to be taken when I came home! Oh wells, I guess these things can happen from time to time! Hehe!

Love, Jen x

  1. I'd quite like to try that Mac foundation, I think it's the only one I haven't! I don't find their foundations to be the best as they tend to be a little bit orange, and have been known to break me out, but this one sounds more like my kind of product. I've picked up a few goodies myself from Mac over the past couple of weeks, and I must say, the Pro Longwear concealer is fantastic for under eyes, covers up dark circles much better than anything else I've tried. Intrigued by the Fake u=Up though.
    Have a nice weekend hun.

    1. Its a good one for me at the moment! So far so good :) Fake up is good, gets rid of all the little creases (if you have any) under your eyes hehe! I might just have to check that concealer out though!
