Disneyland Park, California!

Hi girls! Its Disney time on the blog! Woohoo! You should all know my love for Disney, ever since I was a little girl, I have loved all things Disney! So when I knew we were going to California a trip to Disneyland Resort was most definitely on the cards! We got to spend a day in each of the parks and today is the first! We went to Disneyland Park and here is all about our day!

It was a Sunday, so the park opened really early at 8am. So we got up at 7am and got ready. I was super excited! Our hotel was really close to the park entrance, so we could just walk it, it only took us 10 minutes! We had chosen to go to Disneyland Park first, because we would get a lot more time and there are more rides in this park than the other park. We would also get to see the huge fireworks show at the end of the night too!

So in we went and we didn't need to wait in any queue to get in, as I had bought the tickets online and I was surprised that there was not a queue at the turnstiles as we entered the park! We got there at 8.20, so I guess the queue had went down by then! We still needed to have breakfast, so before we went on any rides it was food time, we walked up Main Street USA, which is just so quaint and I got to meet Goofy!! Haha, such a funny one!

We then went to Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, which is at the top of Main Street USA and is themed around the Mary Poppins film! Really yummy food and it was lovely looking out onto all these excited faces coming into the park! We then headed into Adventureland first and went on Jungle Cruise!

We only waited 10 minutes to get on and it was a nice relaxing boat ride to digest our breakfast, although the "tour guide" was hilarious!! We then walked right into Indiana Jones Adventure. There was no wait time, we just walked right through what would have been the queue line right into one of the cars!! The ride was brilliant too!

It was then up to New Orleans Square and went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which usually has huge queues, but it was only a 10 minute wait! It was a good ride and we were right at the front row!! Haha, I thought I was going to fall out, when we got to the drops! We never really got that wet either which was good! By the time we got off the ride it was only half 10, so we were making brilliant progress through the park! We headed over to the Haunted Mansion for a spooky time and then went up to Critter County!

And yes, Robert decided it was time for Splash Mountain! Haha, I was a bit worried I was going to get soaked, and as it was still morning, it would maybe take a while to dry out. The queue was basically nonexistent, so of course we went on! Haha, on the way up to the huge drop, it was all these happy scenes with the animals from Song of the South, with the story of Brer Rabbit being told, que me happily singing along to Zip a dee doo dah! Then you see daylight as your pullled up a steep track and it all goes downhill from there... literally!! I don't really think I got that wet on the way down, but on the way round the route one leg kept being splashed upon. So I ended up like this:

One completely soaked leg and foot!

We then came across Brer Bear, so it would have been rude not to go get a photo!

Then got to go and meet the Winnie the Pooh Characters! Yay! Eyeore has always been my favourite!

While we were waiting in a little queue Robert said that he didn't really know  much about who the characters were, so then I made him go on the Winnie The Pooh ride with me along with all the other children! Hehe! After that thrilling ride, we took a walk around Tarzan's Treehouse, back down in Adventureland and then headed for lunch at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland! When we were there sadly Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was closed, as it is being done up, so we sadly couldn't get a shot! We walked up past it and headed up to Big Thunder Ranch and  also to the Jamboree. We met the Country Bears, who were quite hilarious, especially Wendell, who though it would be funny to hide behind a wall and jump out at approaching members of the public!

We then walked through to Fantasyland, which has a lot of rides. We went on Pinnochio's Daring Journey and then onto Snow White's Scary Adveture! We then wandered up into Mickey's Toon Town, which is just such a fun area and all the buildings look just as if they have came out of a cartoon! It was brilliant! We went onto Rodger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, which was the longest queue of the day!!

After having a look around, we then went to visit Mickey! Let me tell you his house goes on forever! Luckily there was no queue, but still, on the outside it just looks like a cute little bungalow!

We then went back down to get some photos of the castle!

It was then almost time for Mickey's Soundsational Parade, so we took our seats! It was awesome and had loads of different characters, dancing through the parade route and some of the floats were huge!! When the parade passed us, we went straight onto the Matterhorn Bobsleigh ride, which was fun! We then eventually got to Tomorrowland! We firstly went on Space Mountain, which was amazing!! So much fun! We then had a shot of Buzz LIghtyear Astro Blaster and got the most hilarious photo of us trying to shoot at the targets!

Ooo the concentration!!

Afterwards, we headed back up to Fantasyland and went on Toad's Wild Ride! Then as the second parade was on, we took advantage of the on existant queue at Its a Small World! We got straight onto a little boat with only one other couple! It is such a cute ride and the song will always be in my head!

After another wander around, it was time for Fantasmic, which is a huge show, with loads of the characters set out on the lake! Afterwards it was the fireworks display, with huge projections on the castle! It was such an awesome day! We then did quite a bit of shopping! Yay and yes there will be a haul! We both walked out of Disneyland with big smiles on our faces and were excited for the next park on the Monday! DO you love Disney just as much as I do?!

Love, Jen x
